Fallout 76 is an atmospheric military-tactical action movie with elements of role-playing development, a post-apocalyptic atmosphere and a cooperative multiplayer mode.

The plot of Fallout 76 is florid and revolves around the settlers of a fictional shelter who barely survived a nuclear war, and after 25 years of imprisonment underground, getting out to the surface of the planet. Around – wastelands, marauders and savages, broken technical equipment and unknown technologies of a lost human civilization. Gameplay and atmosphere

Fallout 76 takes place in the distant future in West Virginia. The year is 2102. The inhabitants of Vault number 76 are selected to the surface of the Earth after years of suspended animation. But meeting with a civilization that died from a nuclear explosion and wastelands scorched by radiation is only half the problem. In the deserted cities, the burned ones began to appear – strange mutants, spreading filth and infecting everyone who appears on the way.

After the florid plot introduction to Fallout 76, the exploration of the dilapidated state begins, the collection of supplies and equipment, the search for survivors, and at the same time the means of protection from the spreading plague of the XXII century. The gameplay developers from Bethesda Game Studios offer the already familiar for the series: as before, you have to move through the fictional universe, fight against emerging opponents, craft items and put inventory every thing that comes to hand (and cans come in handy!). But there were also some innovations: in Fallout 76 you have to cooperate with allies, build bases and gaze into an unimaginable future, hoping to save America …

Updates, subscriptions and content

The release of Fallout 76 took place back in 2018, and for a whole year, developers from Bethesda were openly scolded for optimization problems, an old game engine and problems with NPCs: instead of characters capable of dictating plot rules and goals, tasks have to be “picked up” from a special board. The wide world did not impress critics either: after 2-3 hours, shortcomings in the content were noticeable, because each new settlement is very similar to the previous one and is hardly capable of shock or impress.

Fallout 76’s reputation only changed over time, when the developers released a series of updates and additions. We are also talking about the Wastelanders set, with NPCs, a storyline and dialogues, and also companions and even romantic relationships. And about The Legendary Run with daily and weekly challenges, bonuses and events. Updates are distributed in limited access – you cannot do without a special subscription (1069 rubles per month) and payment directly for the standard edition of Fallout 76 costing 1299 rubles.
