Hero Siege is a co-op action RPG that mixes Hack ‘n’ Slash mechanics with Rogue-Like elements and presents a dark universe filled with monsters, majestic bosses and minions of darkness.

The world around is insane: full of tainted blood, exuding filth and rotting apart. Even watching the spreading darkness and poison from the side is creepy, and the heroes of Hero Siege have not to watch, but to act – to fight, carry light and glue together the debris falling out of the fictional universe.

Hero Siege Features

• Random generation of items, locations, bosses, puzzles and even additional events is the basis of the competitive mechanics of Hero Siege: each playthrough is unique, and it is absolutely impossible to adapt to the world around;
• Combat mechanics are intense and literally force you to maneuver between traps and obstacles, combine skills and turn enemies into a liquid mess;
• Surviving in the Hero Siege universe is not necessary at all alone: ​​the developers allow you to cooperate with friends and share adversity together;
• The role-playing system is extensive: as you progress, there will be a chance to unlock new abilities, develop passive skills, and at the same time tune in to new combat achievements with the help of additional equipment.

Gameplay and atmosphere

The gameplay in Hero Siege is in many ways similar to the mechanics of Diablo: the same scenery with opponents, the same system of “calling” opponents to deal damage, a similar experience scale and skills researched as you progress. But there are plenty of experimental options on the Hero Siege side. We are talking mainly about Rogue-Like elements with the irreversible death of the selected hero (you have to start the passage again immediately after death), random generation of locations and bosses, and at the same time additional bonuses that affect the passage.

In addition to partially similar mechanics, elements of Diablo are also noticeable in the design of the scenery: in Hero Siege, at every step, there are pentagrams, messages from the underworld and gloomy lighting that makes you believe in a world filled to the brim with filth. The universe is also supplemented by opponents: bone-knocking skeletons, yellowed goblins and huge slugs spreading with lava blood. It’s time to look the world of darkness in the face and try to free the universe at any cost …

Content, Updates and Trials

The story is outlined in a completely linear framework: the developers immediately present 7 acts, divided into 5-6 tests of a similar format – both at the start and closer to the story credits, you have to clear specially prepared arenas with opponents, collect treasures and deal with additional combat objectives. Despite similar concepts, Hero Siege is full of surprises due to the built-in randomness system. Here is a defeated boss unexpectedly summoned a meteor shower on the battlefield. And there, under the feet of the opponents, a storm opened up. Sometimes it is almost impossible to even roughly imagine the following events.

An additional contribution to the unpredictability of the world is made by thematic updates, as well as DLCs released by developers with enviable regularity. New skins for characters have appeared long ago (a little more than 10 pieces), and no less than 20 sets with additional classes, items and zones for research. Additional content is not too cheap, but the gameplay will last for hours …
