FINAL FANTASY VII is set in the not-too-distant future in a sci-fi setting with fantasy and anime touches. Developers from Square Enix have come up with a new universe from scratch called “Planet” and run by the Shin-Ra corporation, which sucks the last juices out of virtual residents and is engaged in espionage. The world is already at its limit – war is inevitable. But who is capable of repelling the corporation that binds the Planet hand and foot? Only apostates – soldiers of unknown armies, dreaming of reaching the truth.

You have to move along the stairs and ornate paths, press buttons and levers, deal with emerging puzzles, communicate with the found characters.

The FINAL FANTASY VII combat system has retained its traditional features: as before, you will have to fight in turn-based mode, choosing each new action from the quick access panel. The choice is serious: attacking and defensive combinations, the use of consumables and magic, cooperative interaction with the team. It is almost impossible to win without a carefully thought-out plan of action, and therefore you have to either experiment, or, like on a chessboard, calculate the actions of opponents and anticipate other people’s desires and actions. Mistakes and miscalculations are unacceptable – you should forget about some trifles and return to the battle from the last save location, and the Game Over screensaver is also mocked at the end.

Content, Complexity and Updates

The original FINAL FANTASY VII is no longer available: The developers at Square Enix have updated the classic edition and added a number of interesting advantages for those who prefer the PC version of the mobile RPG. The menu includes new achievements (36 pieces centered around world exploration and dedicated to boss battles), cloud saves, cross-platform support and in-app purchases, intended for newbies and those who unexpectedly faced impassable challenges. In addition to the new content, official support for third-party equipment and new technologies has appeared: there will no longer arise problems with hardware acceleration or with new video cards.

Gameplay updates are no longer released: the developers only occasionally adjust the balance and change the characteristics and combat skills of some characters.
