CrystalDiskMark is a multifunctional analysis and monitoring tool focused on diagnostics of hard drives, solid state drives and USB drives.

As a result, wear exceeds the threshold ten times. But, oddly enough, it is too early to panic – such a figure will not affect the service life.

Selecting the data output method

CrystalDiskMark displays statistics as a standard table with textual notation and information provided as individual numbers. If it is difficult to understand the results using tables, then no one bothers to switch to graphs.

With the help of the lines drawn along the X and Y axes, it is easier to understand the nuances. It is also easy to export statistics to separate diagrams or copy to the clipboard. As a result, there will be a chance to trace the changes occurring to hard drives or solid state drives over time.

Maintenance warning

S.M.A.R.T. technology in CrystalDiskMark has been provided for a long time and works in the format of an unpretentious, but general technical verification of equipment. After the analysis, the system will give one of the results: “Good”, if there is nothing to worry about and the HDD, SSD or USB drive can last a long time, “Attention” if there are problems with errors and wear problems.

There is also an option “Bad”, after which it is recommended to copy the information and move it to a safe place. Perhaps, in 2-3 months the equipment will no longer be detected in the system or loaded. In some cases, the “Unknown” option also appears. Uncertainty appears due to improper connection of drives to a personal computer, due to missing drivers or equipment that has finally become unusable. In some cases, viruses or firewalls interfere with the identification of disks and drives.

Manage settings

The CrystalDiskMark tool offers an impressive collection of options that can change both the appearance of the interface (new fonts, translation, style, button layout) and the proposed functionality. As an option – the developer provides for non-standard equipment definitions, or – helps to conduct testing on a schedule, and send the results to the attached mail.
