And this is precisely the secret of all the positive aspects of the game. This is exactly the case when all sorts of variations and innovations became not a stumbling block, but something that favorably distinguishes the game in the circle of more “traditional” products. True, it cannot be said that this helped the game become a masterpiece of the genre: rather, it saved it from complete and final failure, because there are also enough minuses in it, and they are very serious.

I came, I saw, I shot

The first difference between Killing Floor 2 and classic multiplayer shooters is a well-thought-out plot component, and there can be no two opinions: this is a definite plus. According to the gaming legend, somewhere below London there was a top-secret government bunker where scientists were raising super-soldiers for the British army. However, as usual, something went wrong, and instead of ideal fighters, bloodthirsty zombies turned out, infecting everything around and turning people into their own kind. One of the game cards even gives us a panoramic view of London with all of its most recognizable landmarks.

The second significant difference in Killing Floor 2 is that your fighters do not have to constantly run somewhere, as usual in shooters, either looking for enemies, or, on the contrary, running away from them and firing back along the way. Here the enemy will come to you on his own, and will come at a slow enough pace so that this does not become a problem. Zombies attack you in waves, and if the whole team gets together and bristles in different directions with a bunch of trunks, most of the mutants and the walking dead will be shot long before they come close to you. But it’s too early to relax – there is a new wave ahead, and at the end there is a boss armed with firearms. The approach, of all doubts, is interesting.

No fun

These are the pros of Killing Floor 2. What are the cons? The first and main complaint of those who have already tried out the new product is that the difficulty of the game is too low. There is no interest in doing what even a baby who first sat down at a computer can do. And here it will not be difficult to cope with all the enemies, even where the highest level of difficulty is turned on. There is no need to talk about the fact that at low levels zombies move like sleepy flies at all: here the enemies pose absolutely no danger, making the game boring, predictable and almost always winning. Dull invincibility is exactly about Killing Floor 2.

Another drawback is that with a huge abundance of weapons in the game store, they do not provide any tactical advantage at all. It is clear that appearance is also important, but people will always prefer the stronger, albeit monotonous. Or is this the goal of the game – to arm yourself with obviously weak weapons and attack obviously weak bots? But then what was the point of building a garden at all? In other words, carried away by originality and innovation, the creators of Killing Floor 2 forgot about more traditional things, and in the end they created the game a couple of times at most, and nothing more.
