Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming action and RPG PC game.

The developer is the studio CD Project RED, which previously gave the world the games of the Witcher series. The plot is based on the Cyberpunk 2020 board game. The events take place in the fictional city of Knight City. The developer announced the game on May 30, 2012. In June 2019, at E3, the final release date for Cyberpunk 2077 was announced – April 16, 2019.

Announcement and long wait

The RPG will be the second large-scale game from the Polish studio after the third part of The Witcher. For several years now, the game has been on the list of the most anticipated, and critics predict incredible success and high sales: analysts predict up to 20 million copies sold. CD Project RED has established itself as a creator of high-quality and well-developed games. Moreover, a beautiful picture and a well-developed plot are far from all the advantages. Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order started in June 2019, right after the second trailer was shown. Cyberpunk 2077 is already available in the official stores of all available platforms, the price for the console versions is 3999 rubles, for the PC version on Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.com – 1999 rubles. For game consoles, it will be possible to buy a boxed edition of Cyberpunk 2077 at the same price. Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for download in official stores on the day of release. The Cyberpunk 2077 interface will be available in all major languages ​​of the world, including Russian.

Gameplay

The game is a mixture of several genres: open world, action and RPG with elements of a third-person shooter. You have to play for a character named V. Players will be able to choose a set of unique characteristics for the hero, including gender, appearance, various abilities and appearance.

The game is set in Knight City, California. The city is divided into six districts, each of which is ruled by gangs. Only the central region is controlled by corporations with virtually unlimited power. According to the plot, the player will have to perform various tasks, improving his skills.

In the process of passing the action movie, it will be possible to modify the body in various ways. The selected modifications will affect the character’s abilities. One modification can give the character the ability to open metal doors, and the other will give hacking abilities.
The game will feature a full-scale open world with many interesting items that will help the hero get information. For example, it will be possible to move cars to protect against enemy shots.

You can have a lot of dialogues with characters. Each dialogue has several options for an answer. Each answer can change the direction of the plot. Relationships with other characters change depending on the actions of the protagonist, and also depends on his clothes, body modifications and other factors. The hero can form romantic relationships with characters of any gender. The world of the game is free from prejudices, and which of the characters should be given a chance to decide only the player. In the process of passing the player will be available to various cars and other vehicles.

In June 2019, at E3, the developers presented a full-fledged trailer demonstrating the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077. The creators told about the important details of the project: the Pacific area was shown, in which two opposing gangs – Voodooists and Animals – are operating. The possibility of passing tasks in different ways was presented: hidden with the help of hacker skills and open. In the open world, there will be no loading screens, and there will also be the ability to quickly move around the city.

You can distract opponents with various methods, for example, by creating noise by hacking into the drinks machine, which will help you slip through unnoticed. Or you can arrange a noisy shootout and hide behind cars.

For each completed task, points are awarded, which can be spent on improving equipment, weapons, or developing the character’s personal qualities.
