Nioh 2 for Windows

Nioh 2 is an Action / RPG game developed by Japanese studio Team Ninja with support from Koei Tecmo. The game has become a PlayStation 4 exclusive and is a prequel to Nioh.

Nioh 2 Story

The adventure takes place in an alternate version of Japan from the Sengoku period of the 15th and 16th centuries. Japan is torn apart by wars, but this is not the only danger, demons and monsters from Japanese mythology have come to the world. The game takes place before the events of the previous chapter, and takes place in 1555. The hero (or heroine) is a half-human half-yokai who will have to fight an invasion of monsters from another world.

The protagonist, created by the player, survived a childhood tragedy. He lost his mother, who was killed before his eyes, and during her last breaths, she hands the dagger to the hero.

Gameplay

The genre of Nioh 2 hasn’t changed dramatically. It is still an action RPG inspired by the work of From Software. The only thing that came from Nioh is the combat system. The second part received a high level of difficulty and various combat directions.

While moving between regions, and completing the main quests, the hero collects trophies, thanks to which he will receive special bonuses and skills in the Dojo. The starting point of each quest has been slightly expanded. In such places, you can view information, illustrations about important characters, opponents, guardian spirits and cut scenes.

Unlike the previous part, where there was a fully integrated hero, here the character is created before the beginning of the story. The protagonist has one interesting feature: he is the fruit of a connection between a person and a creature called youkai (a creature from Japanese legends), which gives him superhuman skills.

There are two types of youkai skills in Nioh 2:

1. Technique (to gain access, you need to destroy monsters and collect “soul spheres”, they will give various skills, for example, summoning an archer or throwing fireballs);
   special technique (abilities that allow you to resist dangerous attacks of enemies, for example, energy regeneration).
2. A youkai weapon that allows you to inflict massive damage on enemies.

The game has a system for developing abilities. In addition to her, skills can be developed with the help of the Dark Kingdom. This is an alternate world where youkai creatures live. In the process of passing, certain stages will appear that will help you go to another dimension in order to take part in special battles. Destroying the Kingdom of Darkness while exploring the land of the samurai is an exciting experience.

Nioh 2 Game Modes

In addition to the single player mode, the game has a multiplayer mode for up to three players. You can get help from characters controlled by artificial intelligence.

Nioh 2 has high-quality three-dimensional graphics, and unlike the first part stands out with detailed models of enemies, characters and environments. Nioh 2 has a new and more interesting story set in a great world, and the gameplay has received an improved combat system.
