Ben and Ed is a bloody, spectacular and highly experimental platformer with an insane post-apocalyptic atmosphere, uncompromising challenges and memorable characters assembled from scrap elements in the appearance configurator.

The gameplay is intense and does not forgive mistakes for either beginners or professionals: a couple of sloppy actions and the chosen hero will fall apart, turn into a piece of rotten meat and hardly want to move on …

Ben and Ed Features

• Ben and Ed’s universe is full of surprises: in addition to obstacles, equipment is provided for battles with opponents, and at the same time – pressure plates to influence the scenery around;
• Physics in the platformer is realistic: the hero does not die after a single collision with a circular saw, but is divided into parts. Left without a leg, he jumps and leans on the tools at hand. Having lost his torso, he hopes for his hands. And, if the body is lost entirely, then getting to the finish line is quite possible, unwinding only your head;
• There are several built-in configurators in Ben and Ed: some are designed to change the appearance of zombies, and some are designed to prepare new maps;
• The difficulty grows continuously – not even half an hour will pass before you have to memorize almost every turn that appears on the screen, otherwise, instead of winning, you will have to be content with the Game Over splash screen.

Atmosphere and Challenges

The scenery in Ben and Ed immediately resembles a series of Hollywood films about the apocalypse: around houses blackened from time and exploding shells, some strange solar cookers collecting energy and lasers produced by unknown scientists. It is curious to observe the sights around, but there is practically no time – the complexity increases too quickly, competitors are rushing from behind, and lives are always insufficient.

There are also problems with the number of attempts: if you make mistakes too often, always rush and experiment once again, then the virtual zombie will stop resurrecting in a specially designated zone and will begin to wait until the opponents have dealt with all the tests at once. But it’s even more fun, and the atmosphere will cease to be gloomy if you invite your friends to the lobby.

Gameplay, Difficulty and Updates

Events in Ben and Ed unfolds in gladiatorial arenas that resemble endless obstacle courses with traps, mechanisms and constantly rotating elements, diligently attacking anyone who gets in the way. And there are plenty of those who wish: the local revived dead happily slip between the blades of a circular saw, bend under the threshers and guillotines. Despite the insidious surroundings, the gameplay is simple – 90% of the time you have to run, jump and look for a way to the finish line. The rules are truly unpretentious, but because of the funny setting, memorable scenery and unique physics, it is impossible to get bored.

In addition to the original version of Ben and Ed, by February 13, 2018, the developers from Sluggerfly released a “romantic DLC” called Blood Party, which includes new maps, additional challenges and official support for modifications, skins and even characters from the “Workshop”. The global update is purchased separately for 349 rubles. After unlocking access, competitions with friends in multiplayer mode will acquire a completely unique intensity of passion!
