Stellaris – recently, space strategy is experiencing a crisis of the genre. Before that, a large number of interesting strategies had already been released, but they were all by and large of the same type, and no one was able to come up with something truly unique.

And now the company Paradox Interactive, which specializes in creating global strategies, declares that it is developing a new and, most interestingly, not typical for itself, strategy about the depths of space – Stellaris.

At first glance, Stellaris does not shine with novelty. You also start your space exploration with the exploration of one planet, and gradually colonize the nearby open spaces of outer space, creating an empire. You can send scouts to different parts of the galaxy in search of the necessary resources and new planets.

Colonizing planets is quite an exciting experience and is filled with many nuances. If, for example, your colonizers lived on a planet saturated with water masses, then on an arid planet they will feel discomfort, and the level of happiness and production will decrease accordingly.

When the number of colonies reaches its limit, it will be necessary to transfer control over the planets to artificial intelligence. Such regions receive autonomy, and if their standard of living and development is high, then separatist sentiments may develop, and, as a consequence, a war for neutrality. So in times of crisis, maintaining the integrity of the empire is a daunting task.

Stellaris can remind us of Galactic Civilization in many nuances: a system for improving and setting up a faction, the development of planets, as well as a variety of forms of government on these planets, from monarchy to theocracy.

As you play Stellaris, random events will occur that can drastically disrupt your plans. For example, you are preparing for the development of a new planet, and then the news comes that a meteorite has appeared on the horizon, which must inevitably destroy one of your colonies.

The variety of events in Stellaris is great, but if you are a true fan of the game, then on the third or fourth replay you will notice the beginning of an already familiar event.
True, the game in every possible way seeks to diversify the process of space exploration. With each new session, space is created at random, and the game is reduced to minimizing repetitions.

When all the planets are colonized and the structure of the empire is built, the next stage of the Stellaris game begins – intergalactic wars. Fighting neighboring empires is not a tricky business. Just collect a fleet of an unlimited number of ships and crush the enemy with numbers. At the beginning of the battle, it will be possible to prepare for the massacre, for example, hang the ships with power shields if the enemy has laser weapons in the arsenal. During the battle, you will not be able to influence anything especially.
