WANT TO BE GOD?

Your time is coming. Guide the nascent civilization through life’s obstacles. From the very beginning, watch them develop and develop over the centuries under your wing. Influence their decisions and punish the unfaithful with a wide range of godly abilities. Interact with objects, create disasters and launch ignorant creatures into orbit. This is your world and nothing can stop you from having fun.

Our goal at The Universim is to bring back the familiar and loved features of classic god games and spice them up with fresh ideas, a modern physics engine and stylized visuals designed by several of our industry heroes.

HISTORY OF THE SPECIES

Meet the nuggets, a fragile and abnormal species that relies on your leadership in construction, research and development. Help them and soon they will start writing their own story in the stars. Each nugget is a unique personality with a special set of characteristics. Like any other living thing, Nuggets must have access to several vital resources in order to survive. This includes water to drink, food to eat, and recreational activities to enhance their happiness and quality of life. Recreational activities can include explosions. You have been warned.

As you spend time with Nuggets, you will begin to notice that they behave like natural, living things. They have their own thoughts and needs, as well as the ability to act in a dynamic and interesting way.

While the beginning of the game will require more control to ensure the survival of your civilization, the Nuggets will slowly evolve and learn how to handle a lot of tasks on their own, as a result of which you can switch to a more macro-level role and solve even bigger problems.

ORGANIC GAMEPLAY

The planets in The Universim are not just a collection of neatly arranged objects; everything is interconnected and plays a unique role in the ecosystem of each planet. Every tree that your civilization chops down, every resource it mines, and every animal they hunt will affect the world they live in. Lack of trees and high levels of pollution will raise global temperatures over time, while reckless hunting or fishing could cause some species to become extinct. Your mission is to manage how the Nuggets collect and use resources. What mark will you leave in the ecosystems that existed millions of years before your arrival? Will you use all available resources and expand at an unprecedented rate, or will you methodically create a more sustainable lifestyle for your civilization?

NATURE AS YOU KNOW

At The Universim, nature is more beautiful and unpredictable than ever. Each planet has several surprises that will certainly challenge your civilization. From a tornado devouring everything in its path, to thunderous earthquakes that threaten to split your civilization in two. If you feel bad about nature, it might just show you how cruel and unforgiving it is. Each planet you come across will be unique on the inside. Some planets are calm and filled to the brim with resources, while others are barren and dangerous. Watch out there!

Something as simple as the cycle between day and night can play an important role. Wildlife attacks are more frequent at night, as are frequent temperature swings. Daytime offers a little more protection from the harsh world. With the inclusion of a full four-season cycle, planetary biomes could change dramatically, making it extremely difficult for nuggets to survive harsh winters without proper preparation.
