Description

Thousands of people during their school years played “sea battle” on a checkered sheet of paper with their neighbors, and modern fans of sea battles can try the much more exciting game World of Warships .

In this game, participants have access to cruisers, battleships, destroyers and aircraft carriers. The vessels of Soviet, German, Japanese and American production are presented.

World of Warships Overview

The ships of World of Warships are much larger than the tanks from the popular game World of Tanks. And if during tank battles you can hide from rivals behind a hill or forest, there is nowhere to hide from enemy mines and torpedoes in the endless ocean, so even the most experienced sailor cannot avoid fires and smoke on ships. However, sometimes there is an opportunity to hide behind an island covered with rocks.

In World of Warships, players have access to ships of the past century. Destroyers are the easiest to fly, many of which are armed with torpedoes but have relatively weak armor. Cruisers are more durable, all indicators of which (speed, armor, weapons) are averaged. Battleships are very slow, but have excellent armor and powerful weapons, so they fight on the front lines. The World of Warships fleet also includes the legendary Soviet battleship Aurora.

Aircraft carriers are also quite clumsy ships, but fighters, torpedo bombers and dive bombers are located on their decks. With the help of the latter, light enemy ships are sunk, and torpedo bombers disable battleships. Competent handling of aviation makes aircraft carriers a real ocean thunderstorm.

An underwater projectile such as a torpedo, when hitting a target, creates a hole, which either leads to the sinking of the ship, or significantly reduces the speed of its movement (the crew has to spend efforts on repairs). In addition to torpedoes, World of Warships also contains fragmentation and armor-piercing shells. It is worth noting that some shells can pierce the ship’s hull through and through, and burst already in the depths of the ocean, causing the ship to damage insufficient for sinking.

If in World of Tanks a light tank cannot eliminate a powerful heavyweight, then in World of Warships a light destroyer, using torpedoes, is quite capable of sending a battleship to the bottom of the ocean. Having aircraft carriers with bombers, you can attack enemy ships from above, dropping bombs on their decks. But, of course, planes themselves can become targets for attack, although it is more difficult to hit them than ships.
