Black Squad is a command-based military tactical first-person shooter with detailed scenery and realistic competitive mechanics that change the course of every battle.

The developers from VALOFE prepared a destructible environment, provided for the support of military equipment (it is allowed to place turrets and mines on the maps), thought out the recoil of the selected weapon – there are a lot of details and, in the aggregate, the battle immediately turns into a unique madness, where every mistake can lead to the death of the entire squad at once.

Black Squad Features

• Intense Counter-Strike gameplay mixing tactical targets, precision shooting and uncompromising combat aggression together;
• 10 modes, including competitive matches with a set of ratings and reputation, local duels with friends, and Team Deathmatch;
• Free choice of role on the map – it is not at all necessary to hide behind obstacles with a sniper rifle – no one bothers to rush into battle before competitors with a machine gun at the ready;
• Developers are allowed to develop skills on the training ground or in private matches with invited friends;
• Each competition provides access to experience and new equipment – it will become much easier to win.

Gameplay and atmosphere

Fights in Black Squad unfold mainly according to the rules of the Counter-Strike series: teams of 5-7 participants collide in special arenas, depending on the mode chosen, and proceed either to shootouts or to solve secondary goals, such as placing a bomb in designated zones and collecting resources … The gameplay is intense, but full of tactical elements – the developers allow you to talk with allies in a voice chat, issue commands from a special menu, direct and dominate. But without accurate shooting, even a plan thought out to the smallest detail can fall apart, and therefore at least periodically it does not hurt to look at the virtual training ground to hone skills.

The action movie feels spectacular and bold: take into account the dilapidated scenery with the wreckage of unknown civilizations. Ragged houses, dilapidated military bases, strange rubble and impassable obstacles. All that is missing is military alarm and plot reflections on the topic of terrorists and special forces.

Content, Updates and Versions

A tactical action movie from the VALOFE studio is distributed according to the Free-To-Play model: developers give access to challenges, maps, modes and multiplayer (including competitive) competitions without restrictions. With additional equipment, the situation is a little more complicated – formally, new skins open as you progress (it is enough to accumulate experience and special currency), but if you are tired of waiting for stylish stickers on weapons, then replenish your account in a couple of minutes. But is it really necessary to spend money on virtual pixels?

Updates are an important part of the Black Squad universe: the developers are diligently adding new content (maps, equipment, special battle passes with additional content, and at the same time sets with challenges of increased difficulty), adjust the balance and refine some competitive mechanics. Not every update is useful (problems occur periodically), but it is impossible not to notice the efforts and experiments. And after the appearance of support for content from the workshop, Black Squad turned into a competitor to many eminent series, including Counter-Strike and Warface.
