LeaveHomeSafe provides citizens with a convenient digital tool to record their own browsing history on their mobile phones by scanning QR codes displayed at event venues for use in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Visit records will be automatically deleted after 31 days.

Features of LeaveHomeSafe

If a case is confirmed at a location located in Hong Kong, the mobile app will notify those users who visited the same location at the same time as the infected person(s), thereby increasing citizens’ alertness and self-protection awareness. as an increase in public confidence in visiting various sites.

Once confirmed by the Health Protection Center of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Department of Health, app users who have tested positive or provisionally positive for COVID-19 infection can share their visit history with the Hong Kong Health Protection Center. Department of Health to help trace relevant contacts.

The LeaveHomeSafe mobile app is developed under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
