Description

Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic – manage all aspects of your own republic with a planned economy, including resource extraction, production of goods, construction, investments, as well as citizens.

Features of Workers and Resources Soviet Republic

  • Create your own production facilities with loading and unloading stations, warehouses, warehouses and factories.
  • Build infrastructure and manage its movement, including roads, railways, sidewalks, conveyors, wiring, and pipelines. Place and connect factories, homes and warehouses wisely and provide the most efficient connections.
  • Plan and build residential areas with everything your citizens need to live happily, such as playgrounds, cinemas, taverns and shops.
  • Send your citizens to the mine for coal, iron and other natural resources; or send them to the fields to harvest; or take them to factories producing industrial goods.
  • Sell and buy resources and goods in Western countries or other Soviet countries to get dollars or rubles and buy the products or resources you need … or invest in new infrastructure or buildings.
  • Enjoy authentic Soviet buildings and vehicles, as well as realistic landscapes from the 60s and 90s in Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic.
  • Play the way you want! You can focus on extracting natural resources or products and exchange them for money; or you can build a self-sufficient republic; or you can just use the simple sandbox mode with unlimited money / resources and just enjoy making something live.
  • Economic modeling. Resource prices in the global marketplace change over time as you play: one day you can sell or buy steel at $ 100 per ton, but after a few months, the cost may rise to $ 200 or drop to $ 50. The price of everything is related to the cost of work and resources.
  • Increasing complexity. As prices change, so will the demands of citizens, and you will need more resources to keep them happy and keep them working.

TRANSPORT

You have many options for managing resources and transporting goods. If you mine crude iron ore in the mine, you need to recycle it. Then you need to transport it somehow to a steel mill for steel production. You can build an enrichment plant and a steel mill next to the mine and transport it all on conveyors, or you can transport iron ore to a steel mill by train over a longer distance.

It’s up to you where workers go to factories in Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic. You can create living areas and transport workers by buses or trains to industrial areas. You can also build residential buildings near factories so workers can walk to the factory. But don’t forget that the worker will have to buy food and enjoy his free time, so again it’s up to you to build these objects near their home, or if you somehow move them to shops or places to spend their free time.

RESOURCES AND INDUSTRY

Currently, there are over 30 types of goods that you can mine, transport and produce. If you want to get clothes, you will first need resources to create the fabric, and then you will need a garment factory where the clothes will be made from this fabric. You can then transport the finished clothes to stores where your residents can buy them.

Each product has certain requirements, so if you want to fill oil into a tanker, you will need a special pumping and loading station. If you need to load gravel into a dump truck, you will need a dedicated loading station where gravel from conveyors goes to the dump truck. Liquid resources such as oil or fuel can only be stored in tanks, while resources such as wood, steel or precast concrete panels can only be stored outdoors. Using a crane for this will increase the loading / unloading speed. Items such as clothing, food, etc. can be stored in warehouses.

EMPLOYEES AND THEIR REQUIREMENTS

Every worker / citizen goes to work every day in Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic. If they work for you, they have requirements. At the beginning of the game, they are only content with food, but over time they may have more demands such as meat, clothing, alcohol, or electronics. Also, for employees to be happy, you need places where they can spend their leisure time – cinemas, playgrounds, taverns, etc.

Every employee has an education. They can go to school or college to raise this level. If their education is too low, they cannot work; if they have a sufficiently high education, they can be teachers, researchers or work in factories with special needs.

Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic simulates an economic system. No fixed prices! The cost of everything is determined by the economic situation. For example, the cost of steel is calculated based on the cost of iron, coal and labor, and partly on the cost of building a steel plant.

You buy or sell goods for money (dollars or rubles). But be careful, because if you buy or sell at a high price, it can affect the price of the item in the market. You can buy it for a higher price or sell it for less.
