Tower of Time is a party-based strategy RPG from Event Horizon, featuring tactical battles, fantasy styling, and atmospheric settings that represent a post-apocalyptic universe with dilapidated temples and medieval cities. The situation around is gloomy – the plague is spreading everywhere, bandits and marauders are attacking every caravan, and the future is hazy due to internecine battles and the endless division of power and resources.

But the situation with the nature around is much worse – as if responding to the spilled blood, the Earth rebelled: the sun eternally hides behind the clouds, and after that it brings drought down on the settlements of local residents, the forests turned into stumps, and the steppes – into wastelands. What events lie ahead is unknown, but it’s time to risk your life and figure out the secrets of what is happening!

Tower of Time Features

• Class system. 7 characters with advantages and disadvantages, personal views on life and the world around them, exclusive dialogues and a unique approach to battles.
• Skills and actions. The role-playing system in Tower of Time is not very expressive, but it still allows you to choose which elements to pump, how to interact with the heroes and where to invest experience points.
• Gestures and control. The strategy allows you to set a tactical pause, distribute orders between the heroes, and react to emerging opponents. As an added bonus – an element of creativity: some of the developers allow you to draw directly on the screen.
• Inventory and heroes. Characters in Tower of Time become stronger depending on how many resources, coins and items are found for exchange with local merchants. The more riches, the easier future battles will become.
• Generation and levels. Challenges change based on difficulty, recent adversarial experience, and decisions made – literally every time you playthrough!

Ambience, scenery and history

Although the story in Tower of Time is retold through animated cutscenes, dialogues, or on-screen notes, the details are harder to figure out than it sounds. The story of Artara is too confused, the ornate messages of the ancestors and the unpredictable memories of the protagonist, diligently retelling the events from the decrepit throne. And therefore, the lion’s share of the playing time will have to understand the details: look into the diary, explore the inscriptions on the way, and look at the scenery around in every possible way.

And the world around is picturesque: fantasy elements are intertwined with the results of technical experiments, magic crowds electricity, and precious metals, filled with energy, loudly scatter from the shots from unknown weapons. A curious fusion from the distant future and an alternative past in the Tower of Time is remembered even at the stage of representing the universe, but the deeper the recruited party of heroes progresses, the more spectacular each element that falls into the frame looks, and the more often you have to gaze at the sights with open mouth.

Difficulty, Battles and Events

The Tower of Time universe is presented according to a scenario chosen before the narration: the developers allow you to decide on the difficulty (more than 5 options to choose from from “easy” to “impassable”), and then – to delve into the details, but not the narrative, but the combat system. The battles are unique: they force you to plan each step in advance, cross the efforts of allies and even draw runes and combinations with the mouse.
