Fade to Silence is a solo and co-operative survival adventure set in a post-apocalyptic world frozen in eternal winter. Snow and ice have formed a merciless landscape. Nature is tainted. Monstrous creatures from nightmares roam the frozen wasteland.

As a Fade to Silence player, you play as Ash, a natural but jaded leader. In this role, you explore a post-apocalyptic frozen wasteland to gather the resources you need to create a survival shelter.

With dwindling resources, simple tasks like upgrading equipment and gathering materials quickly require expeditions to collect the required items. In your quest for survival materials in Fade to Silence, you must navigate a vast territory in which you will face creepy monsters and an even stronger enemy: the ruthless winter. While cold temperatures constantly take their toll on Ash, the deadliest event is a blizzard. If you are caught off guard, survival requires all skill, determination, and luck.

To survive and overcome all trials, you need to attract followers by bringing them to your hideout. Each individual set of skills and traits gives access to resources and equipment of a higher level. Without companions, you can only collect the essentials, creating only homemade tools and weapons.

Fade to Silence introduces the many dynamics of a harsh winter climate into a challenging, character-driven group survival experience. The dynamic weather system adds immersion to survival in a cold, tainted world. Survival depends on how well you read the weather conditions and on whether you come to the correct conclusion: either seek shelter or push home. Dynamic snow displacement leaves a realistic path for both the player character and the NPC. This telltale sign will tell you regions where you can hunt and regions where monsters roam.
