Destiny 2 is a sci-fi third-person shooter with a dark space atmosphere, driving combat system and fantasy elements intertwined with scientific technology and a world from the distant future.

The developers of Destiny 2 transferred the events to the Earth from an alternative reality: the planet is attacked by unknown aliens and invaders from the neighboring sectors of the galaxy, and only guards with prismatic Light are able to regain control over their native lands and save human civilization. But time is running out, and only fear of loss, madness and death can be seen on the horizon.

Destiny 2 Features

• Destiny 2’s storytelling centers around the final days of human civilization. The entire solar system is on the verge of extinction and only the guards are able to risk their lives and regain control over the lost planets;
• The story begins with the choice of the class: Titans, Warlocks, Hunters are provided – the strategy of behavior on the battlefield and the available abilities depend on the choice;
• Equipment is an important part of Destiny 2: equipment affects protection and damage, survivability and even appearance – and you need to look stylish before the death of the world;
• Content is added to the universe with enviable regularity – post-release updates have brought new equipment, additional maps for PVP battles, and story missions that further reveal the conflict between intergalactic invaders and guardians from Earth;
• The gameplay is extremely intense: immediately after the start, you have to fight against the emerging opponents, move around the map, hide behind obstacles and target shooting from rifles, machine guns and even pistols.

Ambience & Gameplay

Destiny 2’s story-driven events unfold in transitional arenas filled with opponents, obstacles, and even puzzles that hide treasures, items, and other useful tools needed to advance through the story. PvP mode is based on different rules – instead of arenas stretching for hundreds of virtual kilometers – maps with limited space necessary for lightning-fast battles between guards who decided to measure their strength.

Regardless of the scenery, the gameplay is intense and focuses mainly on shooting and movement: you have to shoot often and a lot. And Destiny 2 takes the gunfighting experience to an unattainable level. The weapon smokes, spits out shells, makes you control the recoil and choose a suitable position for aiming. Watching the shootings does not get boring even tens of hours later.

Modes, equipment and progress

The basis of the gameplay in Destiny 2 is a story-driven PvE mode with cooperative interaction (up to three friends are allowed to invite developers) and an adventure atmosphere. You have to advance through the levels, fight bosses, look for treasures, gain reputation points and experience to develop skills. As you progress, there will be a chance to unlock new equipment and even prepare new ones from scrap materials.

PvP does not exclude interaction within the team, but it offers to fight no longer with bots (artificial intelligence), but with the same guards found on the network. There are many competitions – some are rated, others – with random rules or with specific goals, such as capturing the flag. And everywhere you have to sow death and carry destruction …
