Defense Zone 3 is a sequel to the tower defense series of the same name. Complete 20 locations on 4 difficulty levels using 8 turrets and the same number of auxiliary weapons. The history of the conflict is absent and we are immediately offered to start from the first combat zone, choosing the difficulty level:

• easy;
• ok;
• difficult;
• nightmare.

The subsequent passage of Defense Zone 3 levels depends on the decision. Easy mode is distinguished by reduced enemy health, increased tower damage and money earned for killing enemies. In a nightmare, everything is quite the opposite.

Before the start of the mission, the player is shown the paths of the ground and air vehicles. With each level it becomes more difficult to memorize them, therefore the settings provide for the item “Show the trajectory of the enemy’s movement”, which is active after the start of the strategic pause. In addition, Defense Zone 3 offers a few more control buttons:

1. Next Wave – Launches the next crowd of enemies.
2. Speed ​​up time – allows you to speed up the gameplay by 2, 3 or 4 times (this parameter can be changed in the settings).

The number of waves will constantly change, from 15 at the beginning to 30 or more. The number of lives remains unchanged – 20 pieces. Each soldier passed by takes 1 unit of health, and the boss at the end – 5. If the indicator drops to 0, the level will have to start over.

Turrets and weapons in Defense Zone 3

The only way to get through Defense Zone 3 is to know how the guns work. In the PC version, there are no descriptions of those, which is why you have to figure it out “after the fact”. So, turrets are divided into:

• Machine Gun – useful early in the game against light armored infantry.
• Liquid nitrogen – slows down enemies, does no damage.
• Laser – shoots out a beam of energy, effective against aerial vehicles at initial levels.
• The rocket launcher is a key tower for the passage of Defense Zone 3. It hits air and ground targets.
• Electric generator – create lightning striking several units of enemy vehicles at a time.
• Flamethrower – Launches a wave of napalm, setting enemies on fire.
• Howitzer is a powerful weapon, it attacks in an area.
• Rocket Launcher – fires an uncontrolled rocket salvo.

Each in Defense Zone 3 has 5 upgrade levels on its computer. The first one will cost the price of a turret, the rest will be doubled. In addition, each weapon accumulates energy for Hellfire, which, when charged, forms a green aura around the cannon. The mode is activated manually, it temporarily increases the damage from the projectiles and the rate of fire – useful against the accumulation of enemies and bosses.

2. Minefield – places charges at a specified point, become active upon close contact with the enemy.

To use a weapon in Defense Zone 3 for PC, you will need to wait until it is charged to 100%. Cooldown leads to increased damage from the skill. Each “power-up” is accumulated for free, but with premium coins, skills can be purchased instantly. Initially, the player has 500 gold coins on his account, as soon as they run out, the road to the virtual store opens, where the gold will cost from 1.99 to 99.99 dollars.

The Defense Zone 3 Ultra HD version on PC looks good: the locations are detailed, the guns have an original design (they roam between the parts), the opponents are easily distinguishable. The problems are revealed in the desert zones, where the sand merges with the environment and turns into a continuous mess. Musical accompaniment consists of several tracks. They sound cheerful, but the initial volume is too high, which muffles the sounds of shooting. On a computer, the control is moderately convenient, but the lack of a description of the turrets frightens off. In the Android version of Defense Zone 3, all you need to do is hold your finger on the tower of interest.
