Corpse Party is the original Windows version of the cult classic horror game that gained a sizable fan base when it was released on the Sony PlayStation®Portable system in 2011.

Having started life as an independent RPG Maker adventure game in 1996, the gameplay has been greatly improved and the storyline has been greatly improved. expanded for this 2008 remake, featuring more characters, more detailed interactions, darker story elements, over 5,000 lines of voice acting, and dozens of shocking, gruesome endings.

Players take control of nine main characters and several minor characters who have been split into groups of two or three and trapped in a seedy, otherworldly elementary school full of vengeful spirits, deadly mysteries and, of course, corpses. As they walk around exploring objects and bodies in an atmospheric 2D environment, a terrifying story begins to unfold, spanning over 50 years, and the choice of the player determines how the story ends and who survives to see it.
