And, if for a while we abstract from resources, tasks and goals, then the scenario of passage in The Sims FreePlay can hardly be called non-linear. In fact, players are obliged to forever monitor the current characteristics of the main character (hunger, hygiene, mood, desire) and occasionally pay attention to third-party goals that open as experience grows. As a result, there is practically no time to make decisions – actions have already been planned for a long time, and therefore it is important to keep up with competitors and move forward.

At least some variety is introduced by the possibility of choosing a profession (and compulsory study to increase skills) and the chance to completely equip the house. Moreover, the speed of cooking or the quality of sleep, and the number of stat points restored in this way, depend on the equipment chosen. You can’t even eat pancakes on a bad stove!
