Description

Kingdoms and Castles is a game about transforming a kingdom from a tiny village into a huge city and an imposing castle.

Features of Kingdoms and Castles

Your kingdom must survive in a living and dangerous world. Are the Viking Raiders running away with your inhabitants? Or are they stopped, full of arrows, at the castle gates? Is the dragon setting fire to your granary, your people starving to death in winter, or are you able to bring the beast back? The success of your kingdom depends solely on your skill as a city and castle planner.

Develop a strategic plan for your city to increase the happiness of the peasants and attract new residents. Taxes from them are exactly as much as enough to finance your castle. Make sure your peasants are fed in the winter and cured of epidemics. Build churches to keep them from despair and taverns to keep them happy. You can even host festivals if you’ve built a town square! Send lumberjacks to collect firewood, set up quarries to build castles, and efficiently farm the land so your city can grow and prosper.

The new land you are settling is under threat of a Viking invasion in Kingdoms and Castles. These raiders aim to kidnap and kill your peasants, steal your resources and burn your city to the ground. Use a powerful castle building system in which castles are built from blocks that can be placed anywhere. Towers and walls are dynamically created based on how you stack and arrange them. Archer towers and other firing points have a longer range the taller their tower. Try different layouts to better protect your kingdom and express your glory as king or queen.

And all this takes place in a beautiful dynamic world with a stylized procedural cloud system and a seasonal cycle from summer to winter. Realistic tree growth algorithm simulates forests. Depending on your needs, loggers can clearcut or manage your forests responsibly.

Kingdoms and Castles is the first Fig. His crowdfunding campaign reached 725% of the target and was supported by 1400 sponsors. Supporters of the game could both promise and invest during the Fig campaign.
