TouchRetouch for Android

TouchRetouch is an experimental graphic editor capable of erasing unnecessary objects from photos in a semi-automatic mode.

Telephone wires, poles, power lines, scratches, road signs and trash cans – the built-in toolkit instantly identifies elements that can spoil the atmosphere, and in a matter of seconds, returns the image to the desired view. The magic of photomontage happens almost at lightning speed, and sometimes even without interference from mobile photographers – TouchRetouch determines many details using artificial intelligence.

TouchRetouch Features

• Interface. The design, although schematic, is stylish and extremely predictable. Even a beginner will be able to navigate through the tabs and the quick access panel, and thanks to the tooltips and recommendations, even enthusiasts who are far from photography will not have to look into the “Help” section.
• Retouching. You can erase objects and restore the integrity of the frame in a bunch of ways – you can select objects entirely, by segments, or by lines with a flexible setting of thickness. To copy parts of the scenery, a cloning stamp is provided, and it is easy to clean up unnecessary elements with the “rubber band”. Well, and where without getting rid of stains – the replacement of unnecessary details will happen automatically.
• Materials. In addition to standard tools for graphic editing, it is worth downloading TouchRetouch in Russian because of the accompanying tutorials and articles presented in the main menu. Authors, experts and well-known critics will tell you how to work in portrait mode, how not to spoil the beauty of landscapes and where to look for inspiration.
• Results. The TouchRetouch application allows you to share the results of photomontage through a special menu, focused on social interaction. Developers from Adva-Soft suggest adding pictures to Instagram (including with hashtags and text information), and transferring works to friends through instant messengers.
• The TouchRetouch application can be installed for a Windows computer, there is also a version for Android.

Updates

Technical problems with TouchRetouch are not uncommon: on both iOS and Android you have to deal with crashes and errors when accessing servers, and even with a license reset, without which you cannot interact with the interface and the proposed functionality. Some problems are eliminated by the developers in time, but the rest did not disappear anywhere even after 10-15 patches.

But on the other hand, additional opportunities have appeared, associated with the number of settings (even the interface is partially, but no one bothers to tweak it), and with the ways of interacting with the downloaded sources. If you understand the instructions, then the whole process of getting rid of unnecessary fragments in the frame will begin to take from 2 to 5 minutes, and the rest can be devoted to publications on social networks.

Updates for TouchRetouch appear almost monthly and, of course, for free: which means that you should immediately download the latest update for both Android and iOS for the sake of additional stability and increased functionality (details about each version are described in the “Help” section in Russian)…

Criticism and rating

The graphic editor TouchRetouch is both scolded and touted: a controversial reputation has been formed due to the small number of supported platforms (you cannot officially take photographs either online or on a PC), and because of errors with crashes, and even due to the small number of opportunities. Say, filters are not provided, effects – no one came up with. As a result, you first have to get rid of unnecessary objects, and then look for offers from competitors and move there. Additional work greatly distracts from the case and forces creativity to be wasted on extraneous actions, which is a pity.

The advantages include the consistency and predictability of the interfaces in the TouchRetouch application, as well as tips and recommendations that appear along the way and almost without interruption.
