Raft for Windows

Raft is a survival game that was released in May 2018 for personal computers. Later, the developers of Raft released it for Android and iOS.

In the survival simulator Raft, the player finds himself in the open ocean on a small raft. The point of the game is that the player needs to collect resources, study found items with blueprints, and also improve his raft.

Collecting resources and food can be done without leaving the raft using a special hook. Also, the necessary items can be looked for on small islands and other rafts that will be encountered during the trip.

In-game Resources

Raft has resources that the player can use to create various items. They can be divided into four categories.

Regular:

These are the most important components that are most often found early in the game. If you play Raft in Russian, they will be named as follows:

• Wooden boards. The main material used to improve the raft. Planks can be hooked in the ocean or from wooden barrels.
• Plastic. One of the most important resources used for construction. To get plastic, you need to fish plates, pipes and plastic canisters in the ocean.
• Leaves. When completing Raft, palm leaves are used to craft ropes.

Unique:

These are items from which you can get several resources. While playing Raft, the following unique resources are encountered:

• Barrel. After mining the barrel, the player can obtain wood, potatoes, stones, beets and blueprints.
• Supply crate. Barrels are much less common in the game. You can find supply boxes on islands or destroyed rafts. They contain ore, bolts and nails.

Insular:

Found only on or near islands. When visiting the islands, you can find the following resources:

• Scrap metal. Required for crafting metal items. Most often, scrap metal is found in the water near the islands.
• Clay with sand. Obtained by hook at the bottom of the reefs.
• Algae. They are mined on the seabed near the islands. Sometimes found in crates and barrels.

Rare:

It is impossible to extract such resources in large quantities, since there are very few of them in the Raft game:

• Copper and iron ores. Can be found under the slope of the island at the bottom of the ocean.
• Giant clam. Used to create bird nests. You can get shellfish in the water under the island.

Crafting items

Every person who decided to download Raft should familiarize himself with the features of creating objects, as this is an integral part of the game. To open the crafting panel, you need to click on the box icon. A window will appear on the screen with all the player’s collected items. Resources that can be used for crafting are colored green. Gathering food

You can get food in the game Raft in the following ways:

• Fishing. Since the player is in the ocean on a raft, it is easiest to eat fish. To catch it, you will have to make a fishing rod from resources in advance. You cannot eat caught fish raw. You can cook it using the stove.
• Water extraction. The player is periodically thirsty and therefore needs to drink. To collect ocean water, you need to make a mug. Then the collected water is filtered through a purifier and only then consumed.
• Growing vegetables. To always have food on hand, you can make beds. They grow potatoes, radishes, carrots and other vegetables.

It is quite difficult to get food alone. It’s much easier to do this by playing Raft online. In this case, the player can engage in fishing, and his partner, for example, in the extraction and filtration of water.

Shark Fight

Sharks are the only living threat the player will face when playing Raft on PC. They attack the raft and try to destroy it. To fight sharks, you need to create a spear. When fighting sharks, do not get too close to them, as they can push the player into the water.

Underwater resource harvesting

Some game items have to be found underwater. Before diving underwater, you need to set up special traps to distract sharks. While the predators are distracted, you can start exploring the seabed and collecting resources.
