The Cycle: Frontier – You are a scout living aboard the Prospect Station orbiting the dangerous alien planet known as Fortune III. The powerful factions that run the station often send you on missions in search of resources and precious loot.

What awaits you in The Cycle Frontier

Which quests to complete and where to explore is entirely up to you, but be on the lookout: Fortuna III is a dangerous place! Your goal is to survive and escape to the station with any loot that you managed to get, pick up from the ground or take by force. The risks are on you. If you fall prey to the planet’s dangers, your body will be encased in protective foam and your loot and equipped equipment will be left behind, but if you manage to escape, ka-ching!

Other The Cycle: Frontier players will also be wandering around each of the three available maps. They have plans of their own and are probably armed to the teeth. Fights are tricky and can end quickly, so be sure to trust your eyes and ears, use the terrain, and choose your battles carefully – sometimes it’s best to coax a way out of a sticky situation. Other players aren’t the only threat, however, with swarms of hostile aliens and a super-powerful radioactive storm doing their best to end your raids prematurely.

There are currently three locations available in The Cycle: Frontier, each with its own rich environments, dangers, and secrets to discover. In Bright Sands, most Prospectors will earn their first badges. Many of the abandoned human structures found there can be searched for crafting materials and other loot. The local fauna is aggressive, but not as dangerous as in other places.

Crescent Falls is the largest map with very diverse biomes, from desert to jungle. Wildlife is much more dangerous, but valuable prey is worth it. Higher level missions also take place here, which include summoning a giant laser drill for big profits and, for the dungeon crawlers among you, exploring the Crusher Caverns.

Faris Island is the newest map introduced in Season 2. It is a small remote island with labyrinthine cave systems full of secrets, very valuable materials and of course very dangerous wildlife. Expeditions to the island are no walk in the park and players will first have to gain experience and unlock access through faction campaigns. The depths of Faris Island offer the most intense and challenging version of The Cycle: Frontier – the highest risks for the highest rewards!

Whether it’s a rescue shuttle with a pack full of riches, or one covered in foam and empty, every trip to the surface will take you home to Prospect Station. Here, all this precious loot can be put to good use: buying and crafting the best equipment and upgrading your personal quarters. New quests and missions from three factions are also available. The more of them you complete, the higher the level of your faction will be, which will give you access to better equipment. Faction Special Campaigns are a great way to learn more about the world of The Cycle: Frontier, especially after the massive expansion in Season 2.

In addition to the standard Co-Tec weapons, you can unlock more powerful gear from the faction’s arsenal over time, up to legendary weapons like the infamous Zeus Ray. You can further customize the weapon with a variety of attachments to suit your needs and your The Cycle: Frontier play style. They range from a simple flashlight to advanced magazines, armor penetration mods, and more. Finally, buried in the bowels of Taris is a new way to add powerful bonuses to your weapons and equipment! The season ends with a progress wipe, inviting everyone to start over. This is the perfect time to join if you are a beginner or every veteran to come back!

The most notable change in The Cycle: Frontier is the addition of a new Faris Island map, but there is also a lot of new content. Faction Campaigns have been reworked, improved, and complete with brand new missions that take you to the Isle of Faris itself. There’s a new and improved Fortuna Pass with 100 tiers of amazing new rewards, including more unique cosmetic items and more meaningful in-game rewards, with an overall balance improvement. You can also expect many quality of life improvements and balance changes.
