The Public Television Company of Armenia was founded in November 1956. For more than half a century Armenia`s first TV company has been continuously working to present quality TV content to Armenian audiences. As of today, Public TV of Armenia:

• has 98% coverage in the territory of Armenia,
• broadcasts 4 TV channels,
• has the most advanced technical capabilities in the republic,
• produces more than 70 multi-genre TV programs annually,
• maintains its leading position in international polls, as the most trustworthy source.

First Channel is the most-watched TV station and it airs a variety of programs, covering education, science, history, social issues, news, politics, economics, entertainment, and sports.
