Story

Having become a deserter, he joined the Outcasts, who began a confrontation with the Coalition, which is trying to restore human civilization, albeit not in the most humane ways. Together with Jay-Dee, several more new characters travel, such as Kate, Delmont. As players progress through Gears of War 4, players will encounter old characters, including Marcus, to witness a timeless classic family drama.

The first few acts are dedicated to the extraction of the Fabricator. JD and company must find and deliver the Outcasts a special device capable of producing almost anything from forks and spoons to sophisticated industrial machines. The device is under the protection of DiBi, special security robots that automatically build up new settlements, expanding the range of human habitation. Having successfully recaptured the Fabrikator from the drones, the deserters reach the Outcasts, where they are contacted by First Minister Genie, informing them that she was able to track down the outcasts and has already sent another Dbi trooper to visit.

Gears of War 4 is then transported to Settlement 5, run by Ryana Diaz, Kate’s mother. The DiBi also try to attack the city, but are defeated.

However, a more terrible incident soon happens – the village is attacked by the mutated Locust. They were led by a strange crystallized leader. JD immediately begins to suspect something unkind and decides to seek help from his father, who settled in a distant mansion. Having reached him, not without incident, he found out that Marcus was also ready to join his son, confirming his actions by sawing one of the robots apart. At this point, it becomes clear that Roy has reappeared.

The mansion is attacked by mutated locusts. Having dealt with them, the heroes call for help, and they themselves are divided. James and Keith use the ‘Mechs to destroy their enemies, while the rest fly away in the Crow towards the Locust base. Forcing her way forward, Kate manages to meet her mother, who has been captured by Roy. Before Kate interrupts her suffering, her mother gives her an amulet with the sign of the Horde. This is where the story ends. In Gears of War 4, the story dynamically moves the player through many locations, and thanks to the new style of graphics, the game looks completely different from its predecessors.

Weapons in Gears of War 4

In Gears of War 4, weapons have become a symbol of the universe and the setting itself. Among the most famous and popular types of weapons are:

• Lancer . Standard machine KOG. Has a large magazine, but low damage. The main feature is a chainsaw, with which you can easily deal with the enemy in close combat.
• Retro Lancer . An outdated version of the Lancer used during the Pendulum Wars. It is characterized by increased lethality, low accuracy, and the presence of a bayonet instead of a chainsaw.
• Longshot . Legendary sniper rifle capable of destroying most targets in a couple of shots. Popular online in Gears of War 4 in most multiplayer modes.
• Hammerburst . The Locust’s main weapon with a huge magazine and firepower. There is no bayonet or chainsaw, but this does not prevent this machine from being popular.
• Boomshot . A grenade launcher, very effective against enemy congestion and at destroying cover. We love the Horde.

This is the main weapon that the player will encounter when he goes through Gears of War 4 on PC.

Gears of War 4 Walkthrough

For Gears of War 4, the walkthrough remains unchanged. The player moves forward, cutting out more and more powerful opponents. Positional firefights require the player to know some basic mechanics and a little trickery, such as:

• instead of a sniper rifle, the Snub and Boltok pistols work perfectly, which makes room for heavier weapons, such as the Boomshot;
• robots are quite vulnerable, while they have a huge number of critical points;
• during energy storms the wind works not only for bullets and grenades, but also destructible objects, if you guess the moment of destruction of an enemy shelter, you can destroy several opponents at once;
• you shouldn’t throw machine guns and rocket launchers, let the character move slowly with them, but they are the only way to quickly kill armored enemies.

Gears of War 4 on PC is a slightly more refined version, but this does not simplify the game at all. The main difficulty will be active reloading – in order to get into timing, it is advisable to practice for a few minutes in a quiet place. Then the destruction of the enemy even with the help of the “Lancer” will become a calm and pleasant affair due to the increase in damage. It’s especially good if you reassign the reload key to one of the extra mouse buttons for better time.

In Gears of War 4, fan feedback was mixed. Many did not like that the game did not dare to develop new mechanics and largely copies the previous parts, even in small details. Of the innovations, there are only opponents in the form of robots, and an additional mode, reminiscent of tower defense. The players loved the atmosphere of the game. The locations and cities turned out well, but at some point the campaign gets boring because the plot is still weak. While there are achievements in Gears of War 4, they are not fully satisfying. In many ways, the game is good precisely because of the constant action and excellent staging.

Is Gears of War 4 worth downloading? For those who want to dive deeper into the world of the series of games – definitely. Here, of course, there are no such epic events as in the previous parts, but instead the developers offer players to get better acquainted with the characters and their characters.
