SINoALICE for Android

SINoALICE is a dark action RPG, crossed with puzzle mechanics, and describes the events that took place in a fictional universe at the edge of space and time.

Around – oblivion: everywhere bloody battles, nameless adventurers and half-erased scenery. History has become looped, and time has stopped. Only true heroes who are not afraid to be left with nothing are capable of stirring up the SINoALICE universe. But in which direction to move when there is solid static around?

Gameplay and atmosphere

Events in SINoALICE unfold in a format unusual for the genre. The developers suggest focusing on storytelling before the tutorial and adversarial mechanics. The story will affect the world around, characters and a couple of ancient artifacts that have to be found in order to further advance the plot. The narration is straightforward: on the screen, phrases of several characters only flash, and the rest has to be dealt with in the mission menu, which is full of third-party entries and text marks.

In less than 5-7 minutes, the Story button will be unlocked on the quick access panel, leading to challenges and tasks. And there it is already a stone’s throw to gladiatorial arenas filled with opponents. The goals are trivial – to clear the places selected by the plot from the filth (opponents, bosses, traps) and return. Simple tasks in SINoALICE turn into interesting mechanics. You have to win with the help of precise taps on the screen: you have to literally choose enemies, and then watch the whirlwind of attacks and attacks. The longer and more varied the combinations, the higher the damage and the more solid the rewards.

Progress, Characters and Modes

The action RPG offers a lot: in addition to the storyline stretching over hundreds of challenges marked on the global map, the developers from Pokelabo offer cooperative confrontations with friends, battles for reputation in special magic towers and performances in the Colosseum. Each victory in SINoALICE will bring much-needed rewards – unlocking access to new abilities and items, and at the same time bringing experience necessary in the development of recruited characters. And, although formally the gameplay will not change (as before, you have to click on opponents and make attacking combinations), there will be a chance to look behind the curtain of history and look at the drama unfolding on the screen from a new angle.

Progress in SINoALICE is not immediately noticeable: yes, the characters are getting stronger, but the opponents are not asleep, and therefore the battles do not begin to resemble a circus performance, where the winner is known in advance. The second problem is rewards. The developers can hardly be called generous: instead of exclusive equipment in the chests you come across only trinkets and antiques that have yellowed from time and boredom. And even the minions of darkness cannot be defeated with a rusty blade, there is no question of battles with bosses.
