Grüner Pass for Android

The Grüner Pass allows you to securely store EU-compliant SARS-CoV-2 certificates from Austria on your mobile phone and makes it easy to present them when checking 3-G confirmation and when traveling internationally. The Austrian Federal Computing Center (BRZ) manages the application on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMSGPK).

SARS-CoV-2 certificates are issued in Austria in paper or electronic form (PDF) and serve as 3-G proof (vaccinated, recovered, tested). To add a SARS-CoV-2 certificate to the Green Passport app, you will need the original certificate issued to you on paper or as a PDF document.

Grüner Pass Features

• Scan the QR code on the SARS-CoV-2 certificate or
• Add the SARS-CoV-2 certificate as a PDF directly to the app.
• Store your 3G verification certificates digitally and securely.
• Use the app to show the certificate (QR code) on verification
• Several certificates (for example, for family members) can also be stored in this application.
• All data stays in the application and is never uploaded to external servers
• Your certificates are only stored locally on your smartphone. The data in your application is not stored in any central system.
• Certificates are digitally signed and therefore tamper proof.
• In addition to the QR code, photo ID is also required to verify the certificate.
