Description

Photomath is a multifunctional learning resource crossed with an interactive calculator that can scan and recognize a handwritten or typed example, math problem or equation and produce a result detailing the steps taken.

Photomath developers suggest worrying less about bad decisions, daily homework assignments and upcoming exams, and use all the tools available to acquire new knowledge and free up additional time. Arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry and calculus – will cease to scare even C-grade students.

Photomath Features

  • Thought-out interface with tooltips, search and history that records information about recent activities;
  • Built-in scanner that semi-automatically recognizes information from text and examples written by hand (accuracy – over 95%!);
  • A calculator brought to technical perfection, calculating the result, and then describing the order of the actions performed. Teachers no longer have to blush – you just have to run your eyes over the text and prove the truth will become much easier;
  • You don’t have to connect to the Internet before looking for solutions: built-in algorithms will help you deal with tasks even without Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G;
  • Support for interactive graphs, charts and additional details familiar from trigonometry.

Filling and renewing

The computer version of Photomath is distributed not in standard, but in native mode. It’s about running the toolkit through the MEmu emulator. The version of the software adapted for the PC is free from a whole series of mobile disadvantages. We are talking about a tiny mobile screen (it is much easier to view recommendations and solutions on a monitor), and about keyboard and mouse support, and the ability to display three or four versions of Photomath at once for viewing information in real time. Despite unofficial support, there will be no problems with functionality and updates. All mobile capabilities will be transferred to the PC, albeit through an emulator.

The only caveat is the scanner: not all webcams connected to the computer are suitable for recognizing handwritten text. Therefore, you have to adapt to the situation – transfer photos from a smartphone to a tablet or enter data manually using the keyboard.

Support, Interface & Themes

Photomath does not have to rely solely on the materials and results provided by the calculator. There are also enough additional features: special sections with articles and tips for beginners, several tabs with a forum, and also a support service, which sometimes considers unsolved problems.

The variety of functions did not prevent the developers from thinking over the design. The structure is logical: the screen contains additional tabs, tooltips, and recommendations for beginners. There are no problems with translation: Russian has long been included in the package and is fully supported – there is no question of any “machine” localization.

The whole collection is considered in Photomath: functions, matrices, graphs, equations, inequalities, fractions, conical sections, vectors, complex numbers. There are hardly any people who unexpectedly come across things unknown to the calculator. The only thing that can be difficult is with the recognition of the structure of mathematical examples written by hand. There, Photomath is capable of making a mistake.
