ViewRanger – Discover thousands of inspiring itinerary guides, download detailed topographic maps and navigate your travels. Share your adventures and inspire others to discover new places! The app is great for exploring the wilderness as well as for short outings. Follow the route on your wrist using the ViewRanger app for Apple Watch. It also works offline using built-in GPS technology on Apple Watch Series 2 or earlier when connected to an iPhone.
ViewRanger Features
- Global Terrain Maps from OpenStreetMap and OpenCycleMap. Ski slope maps, transport maps, Bing aerial imagery. Additional paid topographic maps for Europe, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
- using GPS technology, the application determines the location on the map and allows you to record tracks and guide you along the route even without a mobile signal and data transmission.
- detailed information about your activity, including steps taken and heart rate (when using Apple Watch or Bluetooth 4.0-enabled devices). Tracks recorded with ViewRanger can be saved as workouts in Health.
