Squirrel Simulator is an experimental sketch on the life of a fearless squirrel surviving in an unknown and mysterious forest, where a continuous struggle between rodents and other predators has been ongoing for a long time.

The character will have to survive mainly in splendid isolation – without allies at hand. But, on the other hand, an impressive arsenal of abilities is already available from the start: the squirrel knows how to fight opponents, is able to fly, spreading its legs, and also easily transfers even heavy objects into its own hollow, equipping at least some personal home.

Squirrel Simulator Features

• Decorations. The forest is full of attractions. Outlandish bushes and trees, huge acorns and no less large snakes and wolves appear on the screen. The variety of surroundings is really impressive, but there are also disadvantages. Alternatively, the grass covering the ground is sometimes not loaded immediately.
• Complexity. It is easy to explore the world – even with a possible collision with opponents, it is easy to leave the place of battle and hide on the next tree. The only drawback of eternal shoots is the lack of experience. If you really wanted to discover all the advantages of a squirrel life, then you have to take risks, because only from level 10 you will be able to start a family, and from level 15 – new tricks and abilities.
• Narration. You shouldn’t expect a standard plot from the simulator. No dialogues and separate tests are provided here. The only exceptions are quests centered around the dwelling. There you will have to look for resources, choose the interior, and fight off enemies.
• Development. “Squirrel Simulator” has long been overgrown with additional features – the developers are trying to open new levels, then experimenting with filling and adjusting the balance. And, although the work has been going on for a long time, there is still a lack of technical stability: frequent departures force each time with horror to start another dangerous walk for resources, which was completed a few minutes ago. It is not known how soon the situation will change, but so far we can only wait.

Challenges and Progress

Developers from the independent studio Avelog are already known on the web for their mouse simulator, where they had to freely explore realistic scenery, collect resources and equip a tiny shack. In Squirrel Simulator, the concepts remain the same – instead of a confusing and unpredictable storyline, there is an unlimited sandbox. Instead of classic goals – complete freedom of action, focused on only three things – finding a home and resources, battles and family life (yes, even a tailed rodent cannot do without a spouse!).

If the listed tests have already set the teeth on edge, it means that all that remains is to progress, gaining experience and opening up additional opportunities. How about a house in a hollow? Or maybe it’s high time to discover additional skills? The fate of the hero is in the hands of those who are moving towards sparkling achievements.

The global leaderboard in Squirrel Simulator continually collects information on the exploits of everyone who agreed to reincarnate as a rodent. Each passed test, all defeated opponents and secrets found, the developers sequentially convert into rating points in the future, affecting the final position in the rating. And, as practice suggests, becoming a champion is an almost impossible task. The competition among virtual squirrels is extremely high, and therefore beginners will have to spend hours exploring unnamed wastelands, accumulating feats and acquiring new titles.

Squirrel Simulator – feel like a real squirrel living in an oak forest. Explore the world. You can climb trees, fly from tree to tree and more! You can find yourself a secluded hollow, make a nest there from branches, bring mushrooms, acorns and berries there. From level 10, you can find your future spouse in the trees and have a child. Run with your cub, train him!

Prepare your supplies for the winter and make it through the winter! Complete “Achievements” and get rewards in the form of squirrel skins that will give you improvements. Fight various animals, snakes, badgers or mice and… beware of wolves! There is also a “Board of Leaders”, pump yourself up and show who is the best squirrel in the world!
