RMS Viewer for Windows

RMS Viewer allows Windows RT clients to use protected Microsoft Windows Rights Rights documents received by mail or any other application.

Windows IRM protects typical office documents with strong encryption and allows these documents to be used only on dedicated Microsoft Windows computers. But due to the nature of these documents, it is critical that a corporation allows its employees to use documents on mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets, to stay informed while traveling.

RMS Viewer Features

The RMS Viewer registers for the file types available for RMS, and when rights protection is detected, the mobile app sends the protected document to the RMS Rendering server hosted on the corporate network. RMS Rendering Server decrypts and converts the document if the user has permission to view the document. The converted document will be received by the mobile application and displayed in the application viewer, preventing the secure document from being printed or sent.

Documents can be stored on a securely encrypted device for later viewing, even when disabled.
