From the very beginning of the application’s work, the developers set themselves the goal of helping users stay in touch with friends, share important information. End-to-end encryption is built into the app to protect people’s personal files. This means that all files, all correspondence and voice messages in WhatsApp are completely protected from falling into the wrong hands.

This is where WhatsApp differs from most applications – providing maximum privacy. Most of such software simply encrypts the messages of the interlocutors, which, of course, does not guarantee complete information protection. WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption ensures users that private messages cannot be read by anyone, not even WhatsApp itself. Moreover, the application does not store already delivered messages on its servers.

For even greater protection, a certain system of “locks” and “keys” was invented. All messages sent by one of the participants in the dialogue are protected by a unique lock. And only his interlocutors have a unique “key” capable of decrypting messages. This whole process happens automatically: no need to dig into the settings or create secret dialogues.

Calls in the WhatsApp messenger are also protected by encryption, and no one except the interlocutors has access to them.
