Rogue Legacy 2 is a genealogical rogue-LITE. This means it has all the trappings of a typical scam (randomized runs, character swaps, and more), but with constant updates and constant dead heirs.

In this game, your legacy defines you. Spend a parent’s inheritance and grow a family homestead to give your kids a better chance of fighting. Each child is unique, with its own characteristics and abilities. Your daughter could be an archer. She could also be vegan. Rogue Legacy 2 also lets you play the way you want. Act quickly and diligently and you can dive deeper into the depths of a randomly generated world. Or do it slowly and persistently and develop your character until you are ready for more serious challenges.

Rogue Legacy 2 Features

An adventure set in a randomly generated world. The whole kingdom changes with every life, so no two tracks are alike.

Rogue LITE. This is no ordinary roguelike, because even after death, not all is lost. Instead, you can build your estate, improve your legacy with a detailed skill tree, and make each child stronger than the last. The game can be completed at level 1, but that does not mean that it is necessary.

Each heir is unique. Some may have synethesia, where sounds can be perceived as colors, others may be pacifists, and some are just a little plump. Equip your heroes with powerful weapons and armor. Or get new abilities like flying, dash, and jumping in the air.

That’s okay, but what about continuing? Here’s what’s NEW in Rogue Legacy TWO: Brand New Style We take a whole new artistic take on Rogue Legacy 2. The sequel features 2.5D styles, with 3D characters set against hand-drawn backgrounds. The art uses heavy shading and all animations are done using step-by-step techniques to maintain the familiar RL look.

Unique weapon

In addition to new abilities, classes now have weapons that completely change the way they play. Rangers use bows, spearmen use multidirectional swings, and cooks throw buckets.

A new generation of biomes

We did our best to create a biome to make every area in RL2 look completely new. Each biome uses different “building strategies” to create completely unique, yet randomly generated regions.

To truly experience the spirit of Metroidvania, RL2 features family heirlooms: special items that permanently empower your heroes with new abilities that fully reveal the secrets of the world. These are not basic core abilities, but abilities that will revolutionize your playstyle. And heirlooms are not just given to you. You must prove your worth if you can find them.

Traits 2.0

Through the forces of socialism, we are introducing the Universal Health System, which adds a gold growth modifier to certain traits. The more debilitating a trait (in play), the greater the reward.

This makes the selection of heirs an important decision every time.

Improved accessibility

RL1 has always been built for accessibility, catering to both hardcore players through skillful gameplay and more casual players with a detailed level-up system. In some cases, however, progress can still hit a wall, so we’ve introduced new mechanics like Off -shore Banking to give struggling players more ways to succeed. the original Rogue Legacy.
