Gameplay

Acquaintance with the gameplay begins with a test ride, where an unknown girl in text format explains the basics of control:

• forward arrow for throttle;
• the back arrow acts as a brake;
• left-right arrows turn the steering wheel in the corresponding direction.

In addition, a colored line is laid along the track, which suggests a trajectory for a quick circle. It is highlighted:

1. Green is the optimal speed to enter the turn.
2. Yellow – it is necessary to throw off the turnover.
3. Red – inevitable departure off the track.

Cut-offs, supplemented by trampolines, help to set records. The first race takes place in the “Arcade” mode: you are allocated a car to compete with 5 racers. After passing the stage, the next race opens, of which there are only 50, and in each subsequent race you drive 1 of the 25 cars available in the game. In addition to the arcade, Reckless Racing on PC offers 3 more modes:

1. “Career” – complete successive races of different types, get money and upgrade your car.
2. “Single Event” – single trials designed to test your driving skills in competitive races, speed races, drifting and maneuvering.
3. “Multiplayer” – a mode against real players from all over the world.

When comparing Reckless Racing 1 for Android and the Windows version with a subtitle Ultimate, the latter is more like the 3rd part of the races that came out on the mobile platform. This is noticeable in the graphics, the presentation of the gameplay and some of the functions.

Cars in Reckless Racing

Cars in the game are divided into 4 types:

1. Street / Dirt – versatile cars for racing on asphalt and off-road.
2. Street – on asphalt only.
3. Dirt is best for off-road use.
4. Truck – oversized trucks for any type of road.

The car allocated to us at the beginning is of the Street type. To buy a new vehicle, go through your career and earn money. When buying a vehicle, you should look at its characteristics, indicated by 3 parameters:

1. Speed ​​- speed;
2. Acceleration – acceleration;
3. Handling – manageability.

For the currency gained in the races, they buy additional parts to increase the characteristics. Unlike the simplified pumping system in the Android game Reckless Racing, the Ultimate version offers increased power and acceleration by purchasing a turbocharger, gearbox, exhaust, air filter, spark plugs and transmission. Handling gets better with upgrades to weight distribution, damping, brakes, differentials, body kits and a spoiler. Tires are purchased separately, which also increase handling on the track. Means for customization are reduced to painting the body, glass and rims.

Graphics, settings, physics

As mentioned above, the graphics of the Ultimate version are on the level of the third part of Reckless Racing on Android and iOS. The project looks bright, the variety of tracks encourages their study, cars with a top view retain high detail, which cannot be said about the “blurry” environment. The first arrival is accompanied by a camera moving behind the car, which is a bit unusual. You can fix it in a static position by visiting the settings, the “Gameplay” tab, where they also enable / disable:

• a colored line along the track (tells you when to slow down);
• use an arrowhead;
• show minimap;
• activate the silhouette of cars, when competing “against yourself” on the already passed track.

In terms of physics, the project focuses on cornering using drift. Since characteristics really affect handling, after buying a new vehicle, you have to get used to its dimensions and capabilities. The road surface deserves special attention: after moving off the asphalt onto gravel, changes in the behavior of the car are felt, and after driving into a puddle, it is easy to lose speed.
