THREE MILITARY EMPIRE

Players will choose one of three empires: the militaristic, authoritarian Terran Republic; the rebellious, freedom-fighting New Conglomerate; or Wanu’s technocratic, alien-influenced sovereignty. Each empire has access to its specific weapons, gadgets, vehicles, abilities, and more.

MASS WARS

Battles take place not between dozens of soldiers, but between hundreds. They fight on foot. They jam into cars. They take to the skies in destructive planes. Each battlefield contains valuable resources and strategic positions, and an empire that can conquer and hold these territories will be rewarded with resources and means to achieve victory.

SIGNIFICANT CARDS

PlanetSide 2 features four incredible and varied continent maps with dozens of square kilometers of seamless play space, every inch of which is handcrafted and challenged. Whether in an open field, a barren desert, in armed and armored bases, or in the skies, victory will depend on knowing your surroundings.

SUSTAINABILITY THAT PAYS

In PlanetSide 2, a war cannot be won by capturing a base alone. The main gameplay of PlanetSide 2 is to hold important territories and control resources. Strategic teamwork to secure tactical positions has long-term implications that can change the course of battle.

CLASS STRUGGLE

Players can build their soldier according to the wishes and needs of their allies. PlanetSide 2’s six different classes provide a variety of squad and combat tactics options. Develop your soldier over time, mastering each combat role, weapon and vehicle, unlocking hundreds of weapons, gadgets, equipment, skills, vehicles and more horizontally.

• Heavy Assault: charge into battle, shining weapons. You are a loyal foot soldier of Auraxis.
• Light Attack: Travel where the Heavy cannot reach with your short burst jetpack. Pick a high point, throw a grenade and maneuver your opponents!
• Combat Medic: Keep your teammates alive and in combat. You are the beating heart of any collective.
• Scout: Shut up. Remain invisible. You are death from the shadows, whether with a knife from behind or with a single shot from a sniper’s nest. You are the constant fear of the enemy.
• Engineer: Deploy essential equipment. Replenish your allies. Fix the thing, then fix it again. You make the machines work, the tanks shoot, and the war moves forward.

MAX

Put on your Mech Assault (MAX) exosuit. Cannons for arms, armor for flesh, and the corresponding character – a walking mass of almost unstoppable death.

EQUIPMENT AND TEAM WORK

Join or create your own costume, a group of like-minded people who train together day after day. Whether it’s a small rapid response team or a large clan, equipment is vital to the strategic organization of each empire.

VEHICLES AND WEAPONS

Train and equip your soldier in PlanetSide 2 however you want, with a huge array of weapons and vehicles that can be widely customized based on preference or purpose, using gadgets, upgrades and add-ons earned from the war.
