PAYDAY 2 is a large-scale military-tactical thriller developed in the genre of a robbery simulator and centered around illegal earnings by stealing money from banks, government organizations and vaults. Developers from Overkill Software get used to the role of a criminal in a manner that is closer in spirit and the desired result.

Nobody bothers to become a “diplomat” capable of cunning and serious preparation to bypass obstacles in the form of cameras, guards and safes, and a “butcher” who rushes into battle with weapons at the ready and without a pre-thought out plan. Regardless of the choice, it is only important to stuff bags with money and get out, having survived a retaliatory armed attack by the police and even the US army.

• Atmosphere. The developers tried to put together an action movie, where it is easy to change roles, to act covertly or openly, together or separately, at risk, or vice versa – accurately calculating each action. Such complex twists and turns of fate almost force you to download PAYDAY 2 – this experience is greatly lacking in competitors, and therefore there will be a chance to feel completely non-standard emotions.
• Preparation. Choosing a server, map, difficulty and challenges – before each robbery, you will have to calculate a thousand little things that can affect both the amount of money earned and how difficult it is to get back with money. And there will also be a chance to steadily develop skills, jumping from short and easy assignments to those that are impassable even in a team with friends due to mistakes.
• Generation. PAYDAY 2 provides a system of a kind of “case” that affects the location of opponents on the map, and the number of items required, and how you have to play from the start to the final statistics. Such an unusual approach allows even learned maps to give a thousand chances for a new passage, but already along an unknown route and with unpredictable situations.
• Awards. After each challenge, virtual dollars are transferred to the account in PAYDAY 2, which are necessary to change weapons and equipment, as well as experience points that allow you to develop skills and turn starting classes into deadly specialists.

Versions, Access and Updates

The official release of the game PAYDAY 2 took place on the old generation consoles (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360), and on computers with Windows and Linux, and on the updated entertainment systems – Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A little later, even a version for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift appeared: in the virtual reality format, robbing banks and hiding from pursuit became even more interesting, but the system requirements for PAYDAY 2 also increased, which is why not everyone was able to fully experience the whole passion of life of crime.

Regardless of the platform chosen, PAYDAY 2 cannot be downloaded for free (promotions and weekend special offers with free access do not count) – the developers offer access to content – the storyline, characters, challenges and multiplayer modes – for a fixed amount starting from 259 rubles on a PC and from 500-700 on consoles. The game can only be purchased, not downloaded for free. In addition to the full version, additional content is also provided that opens immediately after payment: new weapons, costumes, unexpected locations – you will not be bored anymore.

In terms of system requirements, PAYDAY 2 is in complete order – due to high-quality optimization, computers with 8 GB of RAM on board, video cards from NVidia and AMD (at least 512 MB of video memory) and even dual-core processors will cope with the load. It is much more difficult to recruit a team of loyal allies, capable of acting together and exactly on orders.

The passage of tests in PAYDAY 2 begins in a special lobby, where the developers offer to either assemble a team of invited friends, or wait for the appearance of randomly selected allies (with unknown “robbers” the chances of victory are reduced – it will become much more difficult to act together and together). There is also an option with the use of artificial intelligence, but trusting bots is not easy – some actions are either performed with a delay, or not as they should.

When the roster is complete, the selection of the contract and secondary tests that can add experience and rewards begin. Additionally, the complexity is stipulated (a special scale allows you to regulate the response of the guards, choose obstacles and even methods of resolving criminal “issues”) and tasks for specific specialists in the team (and it is also important not to forget about the masks in PAYDAY 2, otherwise they will talk about everything on television if the team declassified). After – the struggle for money and life begins, reminiscent of a cross between a Hollywood action movie with spectacular shootings and wounded comrades who cannot be left in a leaden rain, and an insidious conspiracy, where lies can bring more profit than brazen shooting.

Classes and Complexity

In PAYDAY 2, in comparison with the original part of the series, there are new characters and non-standard ways of developing certain professions. A hostage manipulator, a shotgun attacker, a burglar technician, a ghost lurking in the shadows, and a fugitive who can even survive a fall from a roof – who to trust in battle – that is the question!

You will have to spend hours thinking over builds in PAYDAY 2, taking into account the wind, depending on the classes of teammates, the chosen mission and the desired result. Any mistake and disguise is destroyed, and the battle will become another test of helplessness, because even the police will be able to crush both the equipment and the ghost, who are unable to act threateningly, moving with a machine gun in their hands and firing back at everyone who appears in the way.
