Garry’s Mod is a physical sandbox. There are no predefined goals or objectives. We give you the tools and we leave you to play.

Garry’s Mod Features

You create objects and connect them together to create your own devices – be it a car, rocket, catapult, or something that doesn’t have a name yet – it’s up to you. You can do it offline or join the thousands of players who play online every day.

If you are not too knowledgeable about construction, don’t worry! You can place a wide variety of characters in wacky poses. But if you want to do more, we have the means.

The Garry’s Mod community is a huge source of content, bringing hundreds of unique modes to the game. In Trouble In Terrorist Town, you can be an online murder detective as criminals try to cover up their murders. Be a ball, plant, chair or whatever in the challenging shape-shifting Hide & Seek from Prop Hunt. Elevator: Source is the first addictive elevator game to take players to airlocks and kitty dance parties.

We have one of the most exciting workshops in the Steam community, with over 300,000 models, maps and gadgets to download. It has everything from new tools to improve your builds to weapons that fire rainbow nuclear charges from space. Take as much or less as you need: it’s all free.

Please Note: Certain Garry’s Mod multiplayer servers and game modes may require you to own other games such as Counter-Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2.
