The creators of the unforgettable third-person RPGs “Gothic” and “Risen”, the German video game company “Piranha Bytes” in 2015 together with the Austrian company “THQ Nordic” announced the launch of an action RPG called ELEX.

In detail, the players are presented with a cruel dying world with amazing futuristic landscapes mixed with medieval flavor. The planet Magalan has just recovered after a hard impact on its surface by a giant meteorite and the survivors must lead a miserable existence or fight for a better future, namely for the invaluable substance brought by the meteorite – ELEX. The resource is limited and invaluable.

There are many factions on the planet, and each is trying to snatch a large piece of the gift from space. Since Elex can be used wherever possible. There are few large fractions. The first is the berserkers, they use ELEX in creating magic, the second is the clergy, they fuel their war machines, the third is the outcasts, they are disunited and live every man for himself. The rest of the fractions are small and insignificant.

The protagonist, formerly belonging to the small faction “Alba”, used ELEX to clarify the mind and rid the body of the usual human feelings and emotions. After a glider crash, he decided to abandon the use of ELEX and became enemy # 1 for his faction. As the plot of the game progresses, he will be able to join one of the major factions, and conduct good and fruitful cooperation with the rest.

Completing quests, and the game is literally teeming with them, he will fight mutants of various categories and ranks and also with ordinary, but no less dangerous representatives of humanity. In battles, it is possible to use firearms and cold weapons and, of course, powerful magic.
