Barotrauma is a 2D survival horror co-op submarine simulation inspired by games like FTL: Faster Than Light, Rimworld, Dwarf Fortress and Space Station 13.

Barotrauma Features

• In the not too distant future, humanity fled to the Moon of Jupiter. With its irradiated ice surface, life can only be found in the ocean below. Travel the rugged underwater world and discover what lurks in the depths of Europe. Stay alert: the danger in Barotrauma does not announce itself.
• There are as many ways to enjoy barotrauma as there are ways to die in it. Work with your crew to reach your goals, or prepare for betrayal when you have a traitor on board. Play with friends, strangers or your worst enemies.
• Move underwater, complete missions for the last remnants of humanity, explore the ruins of an alien civilization, flee or fight monsters. Control complex onboard systems and devices such as sonar, nuclear reactor, weapons, engines and pumps. Communication is the key to success!
• Master complex airborne wiring as well as complex craft and medical systems. Create your own submarines and monsters with built-in editors to rival the standard ones. Even link directly to our source code and modify it.

Best played in Barotrauma multiplayer mode with 2-16 players in a submarine. Replenish the number of players with bots as needed; single player is also available and evolving.

6 classes of Barotrauma players with different skills and tasks: captain, engineer, mechanic, medic, security officer and assistant. Procedurally generated map and missions with multiple game modes for virtually endless replayability.
