Banished for Windows

Banished belongs to the genre of city-building simulators with strategy elements. Its release took place in February 2014.

In the Banished storyline, you and a few other unfortunates become outcasts: you are kicked out of the city – you have to somehow survive. You build your own village, where you have to control resources and develop an isolated society.

Banished Game Brief

• Your main resource is residents. They are born, they grow up, they work, they become parents, they die.
• An essential condition for the development of your settlement is to ensure the prosperous life of all people: for this you need to maintain their health in order and replenish stocks of provisions.
• There is no technology tree. At any stage of the game, you can build a building, regardless of the type to which it belongs. The only condition is that people must collect the necessary amount of resources to build it.
• From time to time, merchants arrive at the port, with the help of which you can exchange resources with other settlements.
• Trading at Banished is a major factor when it comes to adding livestock and creating fields. Be careful with long trade routes: they carry the risk of spreading some dangerous disease.
• The inhabitants of your town can engage in crafts, the total number of which is eighteen. They can be teachers, farmers, blacksmiths, healers or hunters.
• There is no universal strategy as such. Each time the maps have resources in a different volume. You can replant forests, create quarries and extract stone, or build mines and extract iron. However, this tactic will lead to the fact that there will be little room for expansion.
• Frosty winters will be one of the most severe tests for you. Residents of the city will have to store firewood, a great responsibility will fall on the shoulders of tailors – they will have to provide everyone with warm clothes.
• Farming requires responsibility and a competent approach. Using the same plot for several seasons causes soil depletion. Frequent fishing and hunting leads to the extinction of some species from the face of the Earth.
