Agony is an old school game; non-linear, with a half-open world, many different paths, endings, exploration opportunities, and secrets to uncover. The game in Agony is markedly different from what you can get in the modern, mostly linear and corridor FARMING MODE.

You will begin your journey as a tortured soul in the depths of hell, without any memories of your past.

• Agony throws you in the middle of hell, where you strive to stay alive and solve the riddle of the mysterious Red Goddess; the architect of this place of sorrow and pain, and the only being who knows how to escape … but there is more history than it seems. You are being haunted by nightmarish creatures and you will gain the ability to possess demons and other souls to find your way out of hell.
