Drivers appreciate it primarily for its warning function for speed checks, speed cameras or dangerous situations on the road. Just enter the destination of our trip, and the application will not only show you the most efficient route, but also guide you along it, like a traditional GPS, additionally warning (visually and verbally) about the dangers. Yanosik also allows you to add dangerous points along the way yourself.

Adding threats to the base is simple – just press the corresponding button while driving past a speed camera or a car parked on the side of the road. Its use is so simple that even less experienced smartphone users will have no problem using the app. Unsurprisingly, Yanosik is the most popular driver app in Poland, with over 1 million downloads.

AutoGuard Dash Cam

For some time, glass-mounted devices, so-called video recorders, that allow you to record the route. However, if we have a smartphone, we don’t need to buy an additional device. All we need is the AutoGuard app, which uses the smartphone’s camera to record the view before the hood. The software also records basic driving parameters such as speed, acceleration and braking force, and records conversations in the cockpit.

It works as a “black box” and in some cases can form the basis of our protection, for example, during a road collision in which the offender does not admit his guilt. Thanks to the video material, we will dispel all doubts. Despite the advanced features, the application is free, but if we want to opt out of the ads displayed in it, we have to invest about 9 PLN in the AutoGuard Pro Unlocker version.

Torque Pro

Torque Pro is an application designed for everyone who is very interested in their car and cares about safety. With the ability to connect to the OBD2 interface with a simple and inexpensive Bluetooth adapter, it allows you to read the most important data from the vehicle system.

When connected, Torque Pro offers the driver a wealth of detailed information about what is happening with the car. With this program, the user can record engine speed, measure acceleration and read errors from the on-board computer. The app costs 15 PLN, but it will surely bring a lot of pleasure not only to car enthusiasts. Ultimately, it has already been downloaded by over 0.5 million users.

Android apps designed for drivers can make everyday car use more enjoyable. Regardless of your preferences and choice of applications, remember to use them in a safe and responsible manner. In particular, care should be taken to ensure that the smartphone is securely attached to a special holder and in a place that does not limit visibility while driving.

All setup actions (such as data entry or installation) must be carried out with the vehicle stationary. Using a mobile phone while driving reduces concentration and is dangerous and is considered an offense by the police. Using the phone while driving is subject to a fine of PLN 200 and 5 penalty points.
