Kick the Buddy is an ambiguous plotless simulator that allows you to take out the stress accumulated in real life on an ever-smiling virtual mannequin.
No goals and objectives, tests of varying complexity and levels that change in the course of the storyline – the developers from Playgendary offer only a small closet located in an unknown universe, where they will have to conduct cruel experiments on the defenseless protagonist.
They are allowed to throw grenades and tomatoes, let virtual blood with swords and leave bruises with their hands, and also use a chainsaw, files and screwdrivers, auto mechanic and engineer tools. The set of available items is unusually extensive, and therefore you can mock a mannequin for hours and even weeks! The main thing is not to cross the line – even virtual evil sometimes crawls out into reality.
Kick the Buddy Features
- History. No storytelling is provided. And here the point is not the limited imagination of the developers, but the game presentation. That defenseless virtual mannequin, depending on the ideas of users, easily turns into an annoying boss who interferes with a peaceful life at work, or into a teacher who pesters with homework at every lesson. One has only to imagine the goal and then the passage will turn into a real joy! By the way, if you can’t imagine the desired goal with your own hands, then the main character of Kick the Buddy can be changed at any time specifically for the desired background.
- Arsenal. Melee and firearms, tools of various “calibers”, atomic bombs and animals, huge mousetraps and tornadoes, as well as mines, circular saws and angelic comings unprecedented in the world. The developers have come up with so many items that it is not possible to try everything at once. Moreover, the selected tools for inflicting bodily harm are conveniently combined – for example, after the explosion of a mine, you can cut the main character into pieces in no time.
- Eager to put each tool to the test? Not everything is so simple here – the inventory opens gradually, and directly depends on the amount of money in the account. If there is not enough money, then you should not count on real fun. You will have to save up for hours by giving the mannequin unusually severe punishments, or by watching ads for several minutes. Didn’t have that much free time? It doesn’t matter – Kick the Buddy with an endless mod for money eliminates problems, allows you to forget about advertising and boredom.
- Distribution method. The simulator is absolutely free and distributed according to the Free To Play model, but with limitations. Internal inventory must be purchased for virtual currency, which is acquired during the “passage”. It is not necessary to pay at all, mods easily fix the situation.
- Kick the Buddy is available exclusively on mobile platforms, on PC you will have to use emulators – Bluestacks or NOX App Player.
- Design. Developers never cross the line of unacceptable cruelty. The mannequin really takes damage from explosions and sword strikes, suffers from acid and explosions, but you should not expect any outrageous reactions – nothing falls apart here, blood does not cover the screen and does not settle on the virtual floor. Everything is quiet enough, but believable.
The interface of Kick The Buddy is minimalistic and divided into three parts. On the left side is a button that calls the built-in store with purchases. It is there that new objects of execution are acquired and the current method of violence is chosen. On the right is a button to reset the current progress.
If the mannequin’s arms, legs, and head still flew off, and the impudent smile finally disappeared from the wooden face, then it’s time to return everything back, and without plastic surgery – you just need to transfer the hero to the basket, and the system will immediately issue a new test subject.
The last part of the Kick The Buddy interface with the mod is a short menu with statistics, which displays the current progress, or more precisely, the amount of dollars accumulated. For those who want to save the torture in photo and video format, a camera button is available.
