Adversarial Mechanics and Objectives

The protagonist on the Survival Online map appears almost “in what his mother gave birth to” – worn boots, a rusted pick, a sapper shovel and pants blackened from the ground. Around – not a single soul: only a few mountain ranges, a half-empty forest, and green grass covering every patch of plains nearby. The difficult state of things at the start is just the beginning of the journey. Ahead is the extraction of resources, and the struggle for meat and skins, and even for the opportunity to build your own dwelling on a piece of available land.

In addition to the standard mode of passing the sandbox “Survival Online” offers and experiment, armed with the support of friends. It will become easier to fight events around, but not much – hunger, cold, lack of resources, teams of opponents – on the way to glory, you will have to hold on to victory for hours in all possible ways.

The game “Survival Online” almost does not help beginners at the start – to understand the methods of obtaining resources and crafting recipes will have to be experienced – mixing ingredients and getting confused in the buttons located on the screen. It won’t get any easier in half an hour – when the island becomes known by at least 10%, you will have to face new resources, opponents hiding behind armor and even mines where dangerous mutants are hiding. During the training, one cannot do without mistakes and punctures, and also meetings with the Game Over splash screen. And the sandbox helps to die in different ways – from hunger, cold water, an opponent’s pickaxe and even from poison.

Without experience, skill and cunning (and even in splendid isolation, and not in a group with a friend in Online Survival on Android or iOS), the prepared tests will become a real problem. And it’s not only about the extraction of resources – everyone can swing a pickaxe, you just have to find the corresponding button on the screen. It’s about crafting, rivalry, or preparing the right tools. In many ways, you will have to figure it out by touch. After 2-3 hours, the once difficult tasks will become much easier, but that’s how much you will have to go through.

From the point of view of the scenery – complete order. Download Survival Online is worth at least because of the endless wastelands, depicting a cross between Iceland or Scotland. Abandoned lighthouses, a sandy coast, an ocean, several caves and grottoes will also be found on the screen. But, if you put the elements together, then boredom sets in quickly enough. Immediately after the start, there is a chance to collect armor, settle down with resources, and build a house. But here’s what to do next? Move around the map again, look for help around again? Team up with friends? When all the things have already been used, the scenery has been viewed, and the worlds have been explored, it is no longer interesting to go back, but it’s a pity. The potential was too serious.

Decorations and Versions

The 3D sandbox “Survival Online” takes place in evergreen wastelands filled with valuable resources, trees and inconspicuous living creatures crossing half-empty spaces under the scorching sun and in the complete darkness of the oncoming night. And, although the scenery is very extensive, you will often have to compete with opponents for resources – and this is not about diplomatic disputes, but about bloody confrontations, where every mistake leads to the appearance of the Game Over splash screen.

After death, the character loses the accumulated resources and experience, and also parts with the knowledge of some recipes that simplify survival in the wastelands around. This means that you will have to carefully choose both enemies and friends, perhaps in a few moments the life of a virtual aborigine will end again.

The game “Survival Online” is distributed exclusively on mobile platforms with operating systems iOS and Android, where cross-platform interaction is still not provided (competition still has to be isolated). On a PC, the “Survival Online” sandbox is not available – you will either have to look for similar entertainment from competitors, or you will have to stock up on the Nox App Player emulator.
