Real Race is an arcade racing game without the classic campaign or consistent progression.

Gameplay

In the game Real Race on Android there is no passing system. Immediately after downloading the project to your smartphone, you freely choose the proposed car and participate in competitions against computer opponents. The local races are divided into two types:

1. Classic – sprint on paved tracks.
2. Off-road – drive through set points in open areas.

Each race has 4 riders, including you. There are no rewards for winning, like losing, which leads to a loss of interest after 2-3 races. Another problem of Real Race Game is the unfinished physics of car behavior:

• cars accelerate to maximum speed in a few seconds;
• holding the brake button, the car stops instantly;
• crashing into the enemy from behind, his car freely throws out of the track;
• in off-road racing in Real Race it is impossible to know where to go, the direction arrows turn 180 °.

The project looks more like a demo, stuffed with adware. Banners from partners appear after starting, choosing a car, a track and at the end of the race. It is offered to disconnect commerce for 36 rubles, but it is easy to get rid of it by blocking data transmission via Wi-Fi or mobile Internet.

Cars in Real Race

They offer to compete with computer opponents on 15 unlicensed cars that look like real ones. There are regular, sports and muscle cars to choose from. Interestingly, if you start playing Real Race on a sports car, the opponents are determined by artificial intelligence on weaker cars. It works in the opposite direction as well. In addition to models, vehicles differ in characteristics:

• Maximum speed.
• Speedups.
• Manageability.

In fact, they do not affect the gameplay in any way, except for the speed indicator. In the Real Race review, it’s worth mentioning the lack of any leveling or customization.

Graphics, sound, controls and interface

Visually, the game resembles other free projects: car models are “washed out”, tracks are constrained in size, in the background trees and fences of the same type loom. The roar of the engine resembles the noise of a switched on hair dryer, and blows against the obstacle are heard with a dull echo. There are two types of controls to choose from:

1. When tilting the smartphone for turns, the gas is responsible for moving forward, the reverse is tied to the brake. The most convenient option from the proposed ones.
2. Using a virtual steering wheel, accelerator and brake pedals. This scheme is inconvenient – when turning, the car starts to drive from the sides, wasting precious time to come to the finish line on time.

You can’t play Real Race online and that’s for the best. In regular races, there is no track map, as well as rear-view mirrors. Determine how far the opponents are ahead, allow their nicknames looming in front. Separately, the “R” key is displayed for instant recovery of the car on the track, if it overturned from the push of the enemy. By the way, there is no physics here, which is why cutting corners through sand and grass does not affect the gained speed in any way.
