PDF Creator for Android

PDF Creator is designed to create PDF documents on mobile devices without requiring an Internet connection. Format text with pre-installed tools, add photos and get back to work after a while.

Interface and functionality

To interact with PDF Creator on Android, you need to open the application access to the internal storage on the device and add the program to the trusted list, otherwise it is impossible to change fonts, add pictures from the camera, etc. PDF Creator greets us with a minimalistic menu. Above is:

• Monitor icon with “Play” icon – launches tutorial video on YouTube, provided you have an active internet connection.
• The question mark is a visual aid for using the application, with formatting text, adding visual elements, saving and transferring a file.

Create a new document by tapping on the monkey “+” from the bottom right. Several file types will appear to choose from:

1. PDF file – standard document with text, photos, signatures.
2. Image to PDF is a variant with many visual elements. To improve the quality of images, there is an online download of the companion product for PDF Creator.
3. Web to PDF – converts a standard document into its version for use on Internet resources. Requires download of the companion application.
4. PDF Form – ready-made forms for filling out (resume, forms, etc.). You will also need to download additional software.

Following the advice of the PDF Creator instructions, we select the first option, set the file name and find ourselves in the editor. The first line is highlighted automatically. The lower pane displays the text editor tools:

• make text bold, italicize, underline or strikeout words;
• change font color;
• experiment with page fill;
• undo / redo the action taken.

Much more tools in the analogue of Adobe PDF Creator are located at the top:

• adding a photo;
• go to a new page;
• save the current state of the document;
• view the finished work.

Behind the ellipsis “More” are auxiliary add-ins:

1. Picture scan – take a picture and transfer the image to a file after editing it.
2. Text scan – launches the camera and scans the text, relaying it to a free page.
3. Signature – create an original signature.
4. Font – select a font.
5. Margin – size of margins.
6. Page number / color – page numbering and color.
7. Enabling / disabling Mark end of page and Rich text – marks the end of the page and formatted text.

Their functions are copied into the panel behind the icon with three dots on the left, but there they are joined by the ability to change the position of the text to the left, middle or right. The main problem is the lack of a Russian version of PDF Creator, although basic knowledge of English is enough to understand the purpose of these functions.

After saving the document after closing it, it goes to the “Documents in progress” tab in the main menu, from where you can return to it and continue working. In the version of PDF Creator on Windows, launched through the emulator, the file is duplicated into the PDF files tab, where by tapping it with your finger, the following set of possibilities opens:

• open – open;
• share – share on social networks, send to email, save to cloud storage;
• print – print using a connected printer;
• delete – delete.

Considering that a license key is not required to work in PDF Creator and the application is distributed free of charge, on its basis you can create a tolerable document in the form of embedded tables or graphs without any frills.

PDF Creator Features

• Add images, position, resize or rotate them as needed.

The project has been developing since 2015. During this time, it was downloaded over 1,000,000 times and rated by 6,600 users, forming a rating of 3.4 points out of 5. Among the positive aspects, the following are distinguished:

• no mandatory activation of PDF Creator for money;
• a set of tools including image and text scanning;
• the ability to create voluminous text;
• optional internet connection and dedicated servers.

On the negative side:

• without downloading auxiliary software, the quality of integrated images and documents uploaded to the network drops;
• there is no way to download the Russian version of PDF Creator;
• to wrap text, you have to manually create new pages;
• does not create hyperlinks.

There is no paid software, advertising inserts last no more than 5 seconds. There are tons of PDF Creator analogues, but they often offer advanced functionality for a fee.
