Paraclisul Maicii Domnului for Android

Paraclisul Maicii Domnului is a special prayer service for the living (as opposed to a memorial service, which is a service for the dead). Most often, this prayer is addressed to the Mother of God, but can be used for the intercession of any other saint.

What are chapels? There are services similar to akathists, in which we ask the Most Holy Virgin or other Saints to become our solitaires before God in order to save us from troubles and needs. (The Greek word parahlisis means call, call, prayer, intercession). The chapels are read “with all disgust of the soul and in need” (Hours). They consist of the usual opening prayers followed by paths and indulgences. The main part is made up of a complete canon of nine odes or songs. After this, the Gospel is read and the litany is performed, as in the litany. In the newer clock there are two Chapels of the Most Holy Theotokos, and in the old clock there is the Honorable Chapel of the Holy Sepulcher. In churches and especially in monasteries, the chapel is combined with lithium on the evening before the holidays. Chapels can be read at home by every believer, as well as akathists.
