What else you need to know about LernSax

The use of the application requires an activated access to LernSax, for which schools in Saxony can apply according to the information on the website www.lernsax.de. In addition, users must be granted the necessary rights to use individual functions. Either the platform operator or the institution administrator who configures and manages member access is responsible for configuring rights.

Private Device vs. Shared Device

On first launch, the app asks if a private device is being used. If the device is not private, but shared with other people, push notifications and saving logins in the application are not available due to data protection reasons. This setting makes sense, among other things, if the mobile devices are provided by the student’s institution (for example, a school).

Login

Accessing LernSax through the LernSax app requires the same login as logging into the platform in a browser. Logins can be saved in the application. The user can select the desired login after launching the application via “Select Login” or remove logins that are no longer required. For security reasons, the user can at any time prevent the application from authorizing on the device through the platform independently by deleting the entry about the application in his personal account in the “Settings”, “External services”, “Devices and services” section. This is useful, for example, if the device in question has been lost or stolen.
