Acquaintance with the game Gear Club on Android begins with a test stage, where we are given a chance to drive a sports car and select controls from three add-ons:

1. The car drives automatically, you tilt your smartphone to turn, only gas is available from the pedals.
2. You rotate the turning device, throttle and brake are implemented separately.
3. Turn by clicking on the left and right side of the screen, a tap in the middle activates the brake.

If the controls in the Gear Club game seem difficult to you, there are assistance systems that correct the movement on the track. There are three of them:

• Braking – slows down on tight turns.
• Protivozanos – protects the car from loss of control.
• Steering wheel – turns the steering wheel in the direction of travel.

How much each of them affects the gameplay is determined by the scale, expressed as a percentage from 0 to 100%. You can adjust the systems yourself based on your play style. For example, braking at maximum prevents overtaking opponents on a turn, and the steering wheel does not allow you to deviate from the trajectory of movement. Having mentioned the trajectory – it is expressed by multi-colored arrows, indicating the shortest path:

1. Green means you are driving at the optimal speed.
2. Yellow – slow down.
3. Red – brake immediately.

It is up to you to adhere to the prompts set by the developers of the Gear Club game or not. There is only one noticeable drawback – the game lacks the mechanics of a controlled skid, which is why you have to enter a turn, slowing down, which can affect the final result of the race. Having crashed or lost control on a turn, the project suggests using the time rewind mechanic. After activating it, you can rewind the race to the unsuccessful fragment or earlier. As part of the Gear Club review, it is worth noting two main race modes:

• Against AI opponents – compete against AI in sprints or round robots.
• For a while – opponents appear as ghosts that cannot be encountered.
• Multiplayer leagues – compete with other players’ projections (repeats single player mode for a while).
